6 cups Crispix cereal
1 bag small pretzels
1 cup dry roasted salted peanuts or 1 cup honey roasted peanuts
6 teaspoons oleo
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Mix cereal, pretzels and peanuts.
  • Heat oleo, sugar and honey in saucepan, boil, stir and cook 5 minutes.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Pour cooked mixture over dry ingredients and stir.
  • Bake at 250 for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.

1 small box each: Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, Corn Chex
1 med. bag thin pretzels
1 can salted peanuts
1 can salted mixed nuts
1 cup corn oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup onion salt
1/4 cup garlic salt

Steps:

  • Mix sauce and spices in oil. In a large, shallow roasting pan, layer cereal (mixed), pretzels and nuts, drizzling each layer with the oil mixture. Bake at 250 degrees F for 2 hours, stirring every half hour.

1 (15 ounce) box Cheerios toasted oat cereal
1 (15 ounce) box Wheat Chex
1 (8 ounce) box Rice Chex
3 3/4 cups dry-roasted unsalted peanuts
1 (10 ounce) box very thin pretzel sticks
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon salt
1 3/4 teaspoons Tabasco sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Mix cereals, nuts and pretzels in one very large or two small roasting pans.
  • Heat the remaining ingredients in a saucepan over moderate heat. Stir occasionally until small bubbles appear on bottom of pan.
  • Gradually pour hot, seasoned oil over cereal mixture, stirring gently to coat well.
  • Bake 1-1/2 to 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Store in airtight containers.
  • Note that regular salted roasted peanuts may be substituted for the peanuts specified above.

2 cups bite-sized Shredded Wheat
2 cups pretzel sticks
1-1/2 cups salted peanuts
1/4 cup butter, cubed
3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Combine cereals, pretzels and nuts. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat. Spread in an ungreased 15x10-in. rimmed pan. Bake at 250° 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 onion, sliced thick
4 -8 lbs beef t-bone steaks (3-4 steaks)
1 cup salsa
1 cup guacamole

Steps:

  • Mix rub ingredients together.
  • Brush rub ingredients evenly onto onion slices & steaks.
  • Place onions and steaks on season grill over medium high heat. Grill, uncovered, removing onions when grill marked on both sides about 3-4 minutes each side, for steaks 14 to 16 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness turning occasionally. Let steak rest 10 minutes. Serve with salsa and guacamole.

2 cups bite-size wheat square cereal (such as Wheat Chex®)
2 cups bite-size corn square cereal (such as Corn Chex®)

2 cups cheese-flavored crackers (such as Cheez-It®)
2 cups pretzels
2 cups mixed nuts
1 cup butter
2 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 225 degrees F (110 degrees C). Combine the wheat cereal, corn cereal, rice cereal, oat cereal, cheese-flavored crackers, pretzels, and mixed nuts in a large bowl; set aside.

1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
2 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300°F. In medium bowl, mix nuts and butter until nuts are coated. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients except sugar; sprinkle over nuts. Stir until nuts are completely coated. Spread in single layer in 15x10x1-inch pan.
  • Bake uncovered about 10 minutes or until nuts are toasted. Return to medium bowl. While nuts are still hot, sprinkle with sugar and toss to coat.
  • Cool completely, about 1 hour. Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 weeks.
