¼ cup self-rising flour
¼ cup white sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

Beat flour, sugar, egg, cocoa powder, chocolate-hazelnut spread, milk, and vegetable oil together in a large coffee mug with a fork until smooth.
Cook in microwave oven on High until cooked in the center, 90 seconds to 3 minutes.

I created this recipe for a somewhat healthier version of an easy Nutella® mug cake so I wouldn't use so much Nutella®. Let it rest for 2 to 4 minutes after cooking, but enjoy it warm.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons coconut flour
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon baking powder
3 ½ tablespoons almond milk, divided
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)

Steps:

Stir all-purpose flour, coconut flour, cocoa powder and baking powder together in a small bowl; add 3 tablespoons almond milk, vanilla extract, Nutella® and 1/2 tablespoon milk, respectively, stirring between each addition until you finally have a smooth batter. Transfer batter to mug.
Cook in microwave for 1 minute. Allow to rest for about 5 seconds and continue cooking until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 seconds more.
Let cake cool for 2 to 4 minutes.

This recipe LITERALLY takes 5 minutes to be ready. It's quick and easy and it turned out really nice actually.

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons nutella
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

1- First start by putting the sugar in a mixing bowl.
2- Mix in the cocoa, flour, baking powder and vanilla.
3- Now just add the milk, oil, nutella and eggs and mix really well with a wooden spoon.
4- Put the mixture in 3 medium size mugs or 2 large mugs.
5- The original recipe called for 1 and a half minutes in the microwave. When I tried the recipe, the cake needed 3 minutes to be ready. I think it depends from one microwave to another. My suggestion is to start with 1 and a half minute and check the cake. If it doesn't seem ready, add 30 seconds, and so on until you are satisfied with how it looks.

4 tablespoons self rising flour
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons nutella
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

Combine all ingredients in a large coffee mug. Whisk well with a fork until smooth. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 - 3 minutes. (Time depends on microwave wattage. Mine took 1 /2 minutes.) Top with whipped cream and a little chocolate sauce if desired.
Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
Note: Depending on the wattage of your microwave, you may have to increase cooking time.
Makes 1 very large serving.

Dollop remaining Nutella in the middle without mixing into existing mixture.
Drizzle ½ tsp oil on top.
Microwave for 2 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
