Steps:
- Give it a rest: This is optional, but the flavors really develop over time, making this sangria even more delicious. Put it in the fridge, covered, for 2 hours or up to 4 days.
- Serve: When ready to serve, add ice to the pitcher or pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice, and add an orange peel twist to each glass. Sangria is pretty boozy. To extend your patio sipping time and reduce your hangover possibilities, you can cut each drink by filling it half full with sparkling water or lemon lime soda (if you like it extra sweet).

EASY SANGRIA
Enjoyed this Sangria at Don Pablos restaurant many times. I finally asked the server to get the recipe for me since they wouldn't give me a "to go" cup.

SIMPLE SANGRIA
I had a craving for sangria and I found this on about.com. I just clarified the directions a little bit. It's a very simple recipe. Ideally you want to chill overnight but I tried after seven hours (couldn't wait) and I thought it tasted really good. Time doesn't include chilling.

- Chop the orange (leaving the peel on) and apple into bite-sized chunks, then add them to the bottom of a pitcher. Sprinkle them with sugar and stir. Let them stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.
- After 20 minutes, pour in the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and lemon rounds. Stir and refrigerate 1 to 4 hours. (Don’t go beyond 4 hours or the fruit texture starts to degrade.)
- Pour the sangria into ice filled glasses and top with a splash of sparkling water (if desired). Add fruit to each glass, preferable on long skewers for easy snacking.
