MARINATED FLANK STEAK

Marinated Flank Steak image

A wonderful flank steak on the grill recipe I invented that friends just love! My girls think this is great, and it doesn't take long to grill. This also works great when sliced and used for fajitas.

"MY FAV" MARINATED FLANK STEAK

There's nothing better than grilling steak when the weather is warmer and the marinade for this flank steak is excellent. It gives the meat a great smoky flavor and nicely tenderizes the meat. Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 Tbsp A-1 or any steak sauce
4 Tbsp Italian dressing or garlic salad dressing
1/4 c BBQ sauce, your favorite
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2-4 Tbsp liquid smoke (I use a lot)
1 dash of tobasco sauce
1 Tbsp onion powder
garlic powder
pepper
2-3 lb beef flank steak

Steps:

  • 1. Add all the ingredients into a gallon resealable bag; mix well. I usually put about 3 Tbsp of each sauce; except the soy and tobasco, about a half palmful of the spices in. If you like you can add about 1/2 cup water to make it thinner.
  • 2. Add the flank steak and marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours or if you have time overnight. The longer the better.
  • 3. Grill over medium heat for about 7 min per side or to your liking.
  • 4. Let sit 5-10 minutes before cutting.
  • 5. Slice across the grain or it will not be tender.
  • 6. **If you want to slow cook it, just place in a Crock Pot over 4 large peeled carrots, put the marinade in also. Cover with some large sliced onions. Cook on low for 8 hours.

I adapted this from a recipe I got off the myrecipes.com site. It is a wonderful marinade for flank steak. The great thing about this recipe is that you can serve the steak alone and it is still flavorful or you can top with yoru favorite sauce. Marinade time (3 hours to overnight) is not included in prep time. I hope you enjoy!

JUICY MARINATED FLANK STEAK

Juicy Marinated Flank Steak image

A great tasting steak with homemade marinade from Taste of Home magazine. Wonderful served on soft Kaiser rolls or submarine buns with some grilled onions, green peppers, or mushrooms on the side. Also makes good 'cheese steak' sandwiches by adding some fried onions on top and grated cheese to melt when serving. I usually serve this steak with Recipe #124798 (no mayonnaise) and cole slaw or a green salad for a great barbecue dinner. Have also served it with Debber's Recipe #217754 which is a great potato salad too.

MARINATED FLANK STEAK

Marinated Flank Steak image

A recipe from the Comfort Food diet cookbook of Taste of Home. It was so yummy. My steaks were in the marinade maybe only 5 hours.

Provided by Boomette

Categories     Lemon

Time 15m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon instant minced garlic
1 tablespoon all purpose Greek seasoning
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 1/2 lbs beef flank steak

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first seven ingredients; add the steak. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
  • Drain and discard marinade. Using long-handled tongs, dip a paper towel in cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat or broi 4 inches from heat 9-11 minutes on each side (for us it was maybe 8 minutes total (on the bbq), it depends on the thickness of your steaks).
  • To serve, thinly slice across the grain.
