Delicious twist to monkey bread that everyone will love in your family.

1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 (12 ounce) cans refrigerated biscuits, separated and cut into quarters
3 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
½ cup margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a tube pan.
  • Combine the sugar and cinnamon together in a large sealable plastic bag; add the biscuit dough in batches of 6 to 8 pieces and shake to coat. Alternate layers of the chopped apple and the coated dough pieces in the prepared pan.
  • Melt the margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir the brown sugar into the melted margarine. Bring to a boil; cook at a boil for 1 minute, remove from heat, and pour over the apple and biscuit layers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cooked through, about 35 minutes. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a plate to serve.

Here's a traditional monkey bread recipe with a twist to satisfy your sweet tooth.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cans (16.3 oz each) Pillsbury Grands! biscuits
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if desired
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a cake pan or baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  • Divide the biscuit dough into their precut parts. Gently pull them apart to stretch the dough without tearing them.
  • Use a rolling pin and your fingers to flatten them to the desired thickness.
  • Dip the dough in the cinnamon and sugar mixture, being sure to coat the entire piece.
  • Gently twist the dough and place in a baking pan. Do this to the entire pack of dough.
  • Mix together the butter and brown sugar. Stir until it becomes creamy like pancake batter. Pour this mixture over the biscuit dough in the baking pan.
  • Bake for 28 to 30 minutes, until the center is no longer doughy. Let it slightly cool before removing from the pan.

2/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 1/4 cups blueberries, divided
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350~.
  • Thoroughly grease a 10 X 4 inch tube pan.
  • Mix 2/3 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon and set aside.
  • Cut biscuits in quarters and roll each piece in sugar mixture.
  • Arrange about 1/2 of the sugared biscuit pieces and 1/4 cup of the blueberries in an even layer in pan.
  • Repeat three more times.
  • In saucepan, melt butter; stir in brown sugar, the remaining 1/4 cup blueberries and cinnamon.
  • Cook, stirring frequently until sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Pour hot syrup over biscuit / blueberry mixture in pan.
  • Bake for 65 minutes or until done.
  • Turn out onto serving plate.
