- Microwave 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips and a 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk, 5 minutes. Stir vigorously, then add 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Spread in an 8-inch-square pan lined with buttered parchment paper. Refrigerate, then cut into squares.

All I have to say, is that I'm obsessed with this recipe... I've never tasted better fudge! It's so good... although it's VERY sweet and VERY rich! Prep time includes chill time.

Steps:
- Sift powdered sugar, cocoa, and salt into a 1 quart microwave safe bowl.
- Stir in milk and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Place butter on top.
- Microwave on high, 2 minutes.
- Beat with wooden spoon until smooth.
- Stir in nuts (OPTIONAL).
- Spread in 8 X 8 X 2 inch baking pan.
- Chill about 1 hour or until firm.
- Cut into 36 pieces.
MICROWAVE FUDGE
Not only is this the easiest fudge to make, it's also the best tasting...well, at least in my opinion. The problem with a lot of fudge recipes is the need for cooking on the stove and a candy thermometer. This is so easy you can have the kids help you make it. UPDATE: I reduced the amount of salt listed due to reviewer feed back and listed it as optional.

- Up all ingredients in a bowl with the stick of butter on top.
- Heat in microwave until the butter is melted, about 2 minutes. Pour on waxed paper and chill for about 1/2 hour.

This makes for a quick chocolate fix ! It's not your grandma's fudge by any means, but it will cure your sweet tooth in a short amount of time. Add whatever type of nut you prefer or keep it plain.

Steps:
- Sift powdered sugar and cocoa together in a 2 quart microwave safe bowl.
- Place stick of margarine on top.
- Your margarine can come straight from the fridge.
- Pour milk over the top.
- Do not mix together !
- Microwave on high for 3 minutes.
- Remove from micro and stir with a rubber spatula, pressing down on the lumps until well blended.
- Add vanilla and nuts stirring to incorporate.
- Pour into a greased 8x8 pan.
- Cool 20 minutes.
- Cut into 36 squares.

- In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar and cocoa powder and stir until they seem reasonably well mixed. If the mixture seems like there are small clumps, you may sift it after its been measured.
- Pour milk over sugar mixture but do no mix. Place cubes of butter on top. Microwave on high power 3-4 minutes until the butter has almost completely melted.
- Immediately remove mixture from microwave and stir well until very well combined. You need to work fast because you want to spread the mixture while its still hot, but you want it to be fully mixed.
