Memphis Iced Tea Food

NAPA VALLEY ICED TEA

Steps:

• Put vodka, tea and sugar in a pitcher and give it a good stir to mix. Pour over ice in a Collins glass and top off each glass with a splash of lemon-lime soda. Serve with a slice of lemon.

GINA'S RASPBERRY MINT TEA

Steps:

• Bring a large pot with 12 cups of water to a boil over medium heat. Add the tea bags and let them steep for 10 minutes. Allow the tea to cool and discard the tea bags. Pour the liquid into a large glass pitcher.
• Meanwhile, add the sugar and 1 cup water to a saucepan and bring to a simmer, over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Drop in the handful of mint, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool. At this point, strain and add the sugar syrup to the pitcher. Stir the drink well and divide it between 12 glasses filled with ice. Garnish each serving with some fresh mint sprigs and raspberries.

CHICA ICED TEA

Steps:

• Place the tea bag(s) in an iced tea jar or large pitcher. Pour the boiling water over the tea bag and let steep for at least 5 minutes.
• While tea steeps, muddle the limes and the sugar in a medium bowl, until the sugar dissolves and the lime releases its juice.
• After steeping, remove tea bags from the jar. Carefully add the lime/sugar mixture using a large spoon. Stir well to combine. Add the pomegranate juice and chill for at least 1 hour.
• Just before serving, add the rum and stir to incorporate. Serve over ice.

MEMPHIS ICED TEA

Steps:

• Fill 4 tall glasses with ice cubes.
• To each glass add 1 oz of whiskey, a spritz of soda and top with sweet iced tea. Stir to combine and garnish with a lemon slice.

LEMON ICED TEA

Steps:

• Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 4 bags of black tea. Let steep for 5 minutes, then discard bags. Stir in 3 tablespoons Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable* and 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Refrigerate until chilled and serve over ice, if desired.
