Grilled Ribeyes with Herb Butter image

I make this recipe for special occasions. The tantalizing fragrance of the herbs de Provence is unforgettable. The seasoning and herb butter goes well with filet mignon, T-bone and steak strips, too. -John Baranski, Baldwin City, Kansas

Number Of Ingredients 18

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup dry red wine
1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 beef ribeye steaks (3/4 pound each)
STEAK SEASONINGS:
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon herbes de Provence
1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
HERB BUTTER:
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish

Steps:

  • In a shallow dish, combine the first 8 ingredients. Add the steaks and turn to coat. Cover; refrigerate overnight., Drain and discard marinade. Combine the steak seasonings; sprinkle over steaks., Grill steaks, covered, over medium heat or broil 3-4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°)., For herb butter, in a small bowl, beat the butter, parsley and horseradish until blended. Spoon 1 tablespoon herb butter over each steak.

Of course I used t-bones because they are one of my favorites but you could use Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Porterhouse, Ribeye or even Petite Shoulder. ...

4 t-bone steaks
1 c dry red wine
3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 stick butter (1/2 cup) softened
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 clove garlic minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1 Tbsp dried parsley
2 tsp dried chives

Steps:

  • 1. In large Ziploc bag add steaks, wine, soy sauce, Worcestershire, and ginger. Place in refrigerator and turn every fifteen minutes for one hour.
  • 2. In medium bowl stir together butter, onion powder, garlic, oregano, basil, parsley and chives.
  • 3. Preheat grill and cook to desired liking. Top with one tablespoon butter during last minute of cooking. Remove, cover and plate for ten minutes. Top with another tablespoon of butter right before serving.

This was one of my grandfather's favorite recipes. It's so simple, the family loves it, and it's a wonderful recipe for a great barbeque meal!

1 cup vegetable oil
¾ cup soy sauce
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup prepared yellow mustard
4 cloves garlic, minced
ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Whisk the vegetable oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, and pepper together in a bowl until combined.
  • To use the marinade, place the meat in the bag, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours. Discard the marinade after it has been used.

Steps:
