BAKED GOAT CHEESE DIP

1 10-ounce log goat cheese, at room temperature
4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
Freshly ground pepper
8 small cocktail tomatoes (about 10 ounces), quartered
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Kosher salt
Toasted baguette slices, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, parmesan and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a food processor and season with pepper; puree until smooth. Brush a 1-quart baking dish with olive oil, then spread the cheese mixture in the dish, mounding it slightly higher around the edge than in the middle. Bake until golden and heated through, about 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine the tomatoes, chives, vinegar, garlic, the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl. Spoon the tomato mixture on top of the dip. Serve with baguette slices.

As the fresh goat cheese melts into the tomato sauce, you're left with a delicious recipe that is perfect for dipping your favorite garlic bread or chip!

8 ounces goat cheese, Chavrie log
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic, Fresh chopped
28 ounces tomato sauce
1 pinch oregano, Dried
2 ounces black olives, can Sliced
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
cracked black peppercorns

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  • Sauté chopped garlic in olive oil ( do not brown) in a sauce pot
  • Add tomato sauce , olives and oregano
  • Simmer until thickened
  • Set aside to cool
  • Slice the Chavrie Fresh Goat Cheese Log lengthwise into 4 slices
  • Place slices in a greased 9 inch casserole alternating sauce and cheese
  • Season with cracked black peppercorns
  • Top with bread crumbs
  • Bake until bubbly and slightly brown about 20 minutes
  • Serve with garlic bagel chips or garlic crostini.

1 log (4 ounces) goat cheese
1 cup marinara or spaghetti sauce
2 tablespoons minced fresh basil
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
Toasted French bread baguette slices or assorted crackers

Steps:

  • Freeze cheese for 15 minutes. Unwrap and cut into 1/2-in. slices. In an ungreased small shallow baking dish, combine marinara sauce and basil. Top with cheese slices; sprinkle with pepper., Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices.
