Macaroni Hot Dog Casserole Food

HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
• Grease a 2-quart casserole.
• Add the freshly cooked and drained macaroni into the casserole along with the sliced hot dogs and just 2 cups of the cheese; mix well.
• Combine butter and onion in a medium saucepan and saute over medium heat until the onion is wilted (about 5 minutes).
• Whisk flour into the butter mixture quickly until flour is absorbed, then remove from heat.
• Add milk slowly, whisking to combine well- make sure you whisk very quickly and thoroughly or you will have doughy clumps.
• Return to heat, whisk in the salt and pepper, and bring to a boil (still whisking)- just be careful not to let it burn.
• As soon as it starts to hit the boiling point, remove from heat and pour evenly over the macaroni mixture.
• Stir to gently to combine.
• Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese and bake, uncovered, for 18-20 minutes or until heated through and the cheese has melted and browned (If you prepare this in advance, wait to add the remaining cheese until you are ready to bake the casserole the next day).
• For variety, I have tried other types of cheeses and thought Cheddar blended with Monterey Jack was also very nice in this.
• NOTE: This does not freeze well.

EASY MACARONI AND CHEESE HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Prepare macaroni and cheese dinner as directed. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
• Remove macaroni and cheese from stove and place in a casserole dish. Add sliced hot dogs, soup, milk, and cheddar cheese (I usually add about 2 handfuls, but if you like cheese, add more). Stir. Top with more cheddar cheese.
• Bake in oven for about 20 minutes or until cheese has melted throughout.

HOT DOG CHEESY MACARONI CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 12 x 8 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
• Cook the macaroni in salted water per the package directions until al dente. Drain well.
• Meanwhile, in a separate pan over medium-high heat add 6 Tbsp of butter to reserved 2 Tbsp bacon drippings. Add onion.
• Cook for 3 minutes until the onion has softened. Lower the heat to medium and add the flour, garlic salt, mustard and black pepper. Stir until the flour has absorbed the butter. Cook stirring constantly for 1 minute.
• Gradually whisk in the milk. Bring to a boil then immediately lower the temperature to low heat. Allow to bubble gently for 5 minutes to thicken.
• Remove sauce from heat. Add 3 cups cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. Reserve 2 Tbsp crumbled bacon for garnishing. Stir until the cheese has melted.
• Pour sauce over macaroni. Add hot dogs. Mix until macaroni is evenly coated and hot dogs are evenly distributed. Pour into the baking dish.
• Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese. Dot with 1 Tbsp butter.
• Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
• Garnish with bacon crumbles and sliced green onion. Serve immediately.

MAC & CHEESE HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 400ºF.
• Prepare Dinner in large saucepan as directed on package. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
• Spoon into 8-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
• Bake 20 min. or until heated through. Cut into bars.

HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, 2 minutes. , In a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish, layer with a third of the potatoes, half of the hot dogs and half of the onion. Repeat layers. Top with remaining potatoes. Pour white sauce over all., Bake, covered, for 1 hour. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese. Bake until potatoes are tender, 10-15 minutes longer.

HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a 2-quart casserole dish, stir together the sliced hot dogs, green beans and their liquid, and stewed tomatoes with their juice.
• Bake in the preheated oven until the juice is thickened, about 45 minutes. Remove from oven, stir again, and sprinkle the casserole with mozzarella cheese. Heat the broiler of the oven, and place the casserole under the broiler until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and starting to brown, about 5 minutes.

• Prepare Dinner in large saucepan as directed on package. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
• Spoon into 8-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
• Bake 20 min. or until heated through. Cut into bars.

• Salt water and under cook macaroni, cook about 7 minutes until just under al dente in doneness.
• Preheat broiler and set rack 12 inches from heat.
• While pasta works, heat a large deep nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
• Add 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, 1 turn of the pan, then add hot dogs and brown on both sides, 4 minutes total.
• Remove the dogs with a slotted spoon to a paper towel lined plate.
• Add another tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, 1 turn of the pan, and the butter.
• When butter melts, cook onions 4 to 5 minutes, then add flour and cook another minute.
• Add beer/chicken broth and cook off completely, 1 minute.
• Whisk in milk and bring to a bubble, then season sauce with salt and pepper and stir in mustard and ketchup.
• Lower heat and add 2 cups of the cheese.
• Stir to melt, about 1 minute. Adjust mustard, ketchup, salt and pepper to taste.
• Drain pasta well.
• Combine pasta and hot dogs with sauce and coat evenly, then pour into large (13 x 9) casserole dish and top with remaining cheese.
• Melt and brown cheese under broiler, about 2 minutes.
• Serve and enjoy!

When butter melts, cook onions 4 to 5 minutes, then add flour and cook another minute. Add beer and cook off completely, 1 minute. Whisk in milk and bring to a bubble, then season the sauce with salt and pepper and stir in the mustard and ketchup. Lower heat and add 2 cups of the cheese. Stir to melt, 1 minute. Adjust mustard, ketchup, and salt and pepper, to your taste.
• Drain pasta well. Combine pasta and hot dogs with sauce and coat evenly then pour into large casserole and top with remaining cheese. Melt and brown cheese under broiler, 2 minutes. Serve.

MACARONI AND HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Melt butter in Dutch oven.
• Cut hot dogs in half and then into small pieces.
• Simmer onion, pepper and hot dogs in butter for about 10 minutes or until brown.
• Sprinkle macaroni over top.
• Add salt, tomatoes and water.
• Cover; bring to boil.
• Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until tender (about 12 minutes).
• Stir in cheese and simmer until cheese melts.

JALAPEñO MAC & HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 400°F.
• Prepare Dinner as directed on package. Add salsa, franks and milk; mix well.
• Spoon into 1-1/2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with cheddar.
• Bake 15 min. or until heated through.

HOT DOG MACARONI BAKE

Steps:

• Cut hot dogs in half lengthwise; cut into 1/2-in. slices. In a large skillet, brown hot dogs over medium-high heat. Reduce heat. Add onion and butter; cook until onion is tender. Stir in the macaroni, soup, water and mustard., Pour into a greased 11x7-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.

MACARONI, CHEESE AND HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Fill a medium sized pot with hot water about half way.
• Put the water on the stove at high heat.
• Add box of Kraft macaroni and cheese dinner.
• Cut up the hod dogs into 1/4 pieces and drop in the water.
• Bring everything to a boil.
• Once the water boils, reduce the heat and continue to cook until the macaroni is tender.
• Drain water.
• Place pot back on the stove on very low heat.
• Add margarine and milk.
• Add slices of cheese.
• Stir until cheese melts.
• After cheese melts, add cheese sauce packet that comes with the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese dinner.
• Stir until everything is well mixed.
• Serve and enjoy.

CHEDDAR MAC & CHEESE HOT DOG CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 400°F.
• Prepare Dinner in large saucepan as directed on package. Add vegetables, wieners, milk and garlic powder; mix well.
• Spoon into 1-1/2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with shredded cheese.
• Bake 15 min. or until heated through.
