SOFT AND CHEWY M&M COOKIES

I usually double the recipe, which will use one 12 oz. bag of M&M's. You can make these festive by using holiday M&Ms, which I love to do at Easter and Christmas

Time 2h5m

Yield 24 bars

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted, plus more for buttering the dish
14 chocolate graham crackers
One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
One 10-ounce bag mint chocolate chips
1 cup cocktail peanuts, coarsely chopped

Sprinkle the chocolate chips, peanuts, marshmallows, M&M's, candy canes and sprinkles over the condensed milk.

M & M CANDY COOKIES

M & M Candy Cookies image

Make and share this M & M Candy Cookies recipe from Food.com.

Provided by Mebriella

Categories     Candy

Time 28m

Yield 20 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 15

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
5/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 whole egg, plus
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups M&M's (I used the dark chocolate kind)
4 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped (use semisweet if you prefer)
extra M&M' (for tops of cookies)
extra chopped chocolate (for tops of cookies)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until well-combined.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until smoothly combined, wiping down the bowl and beater as needed. Add the whole egg and egg yolk one at a time, beating each in until incorporated. Mix in the vanilla extract until incorporated.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix in on lowest speed just until partially combined, with the dough not yet even in texture. Add the M&M's and chopped chocolate and fold in with a flexible rubber spatula just until evenly dispersed into the dough, with no more streaks of dry ingredients still visible.
  • Transfer the dough to an airtight container and chill for at least 4 hours before baking (the cookie dough will keep in the refrigerator for at least one week).
  • To bake, preheat oven to 350ºF with an oven rack in the center position. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop the cookie dough by 2 1/4 ounce (about 1/4 cup) portions and roll into balls. Roll each ball between the palms of your hand to elongate into a tall cylinder-like mound, flattening the base to rest firmly on the lined baking tray. Space the mounds of cookie dough apart on the tray, with no more than 6 - 9 cookies on the tray at once. Press a few extra M&M's and pieces of chopped chocolate into the tops and sides of the cookies.
  • Bake cookies in the preheated oven for 11-13 minutes, or just until the cookies are puffed up and the tops no longer appear wet, rotating the tray halfway through the baking time. Don't overbake! Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

THE BEST M&M COOKIES

The Best M&M Cookies image

We took our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and increased the brown sugar to make these cookies extra moist and chewy. Then we super-sized them -- the better to get in more of our favorite candy-coated chocolates. Save some extra candy for topping each cookie before baking. The result, cookies that look just as good as they taste!

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 2h20m

Yield about 24 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (see Cook's Note)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 1/2 sticks (1 1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups candy-coated chocolates, such as M&M's

Steps:

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl.
  • Beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a bowl with a mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth, then beat in the vanilla. Reduce the mixer speed to low. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined. Reserve 1/4 cup of the chocolates, then stir in the remaining 1 3/4 cups of chocolates by hand. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dough and refrigerate until chilled through, about 1 hour.
  • Arrange the racks in the upper and lower third of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Roll the dough into 24 balls, each about 3 tablespoons (alternatively, use a #20 large cookie scoop). Place 6 dough balls on each of the prepared baking sheets; stud the top of each dough ball with some of the reserved chocolates. Bake 2 trays at a time until the cookies are golden around the edges but still soft in the middle, rotating the trays halfway through, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool 10 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Repeat with the remaining dough and chocolates.

M&M CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Christmas M&M cookies are a holiday classic. Loaded inside and out with red and green M&M's, they make a perfect addition to your cookie exchange!

Provided by April Woods

Categories     Dessert

Number Of Ingredients 11

½ cup butter (unsalted, softened)
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
1 egg (large)
1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup holiday sprinkles
¼ cup holiday mini chips
¼ cup holiday M&Ms (we used mini)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl cream together the butter and both sugars until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add in the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until just combined.
  • The dough will be very crumbly.
  • Add half the M&M's, mini chips, and sprinkles to the dough. Reserve the remaining.
  • Using a small/mini cookie scoop, divide and roll the dough into 36 balls. Roll/press in remaining toppings and place dough balls on a parchment lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Bake the cookies at 350° F for about 8 minutes. You want the edges to be just barely turning golden brown, so the cookies stay chewy.
  • Cool 5 minutes on the baking sheet and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

SOFT AND CHEWY M&M COOKIES

Soft and Chewy M&M Cookies image

The BEST Soft and Chewy M&M Cookies. Crisp chewy edges, soft centers and loaded with colorful M&M's. Everyone goes crazy for these.

Provided by Allison - Celebrating Sweets

Categories     Dessert

Time 29m

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour (see note)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened but still cool )
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar, lightly packed (make sure it's fresh and soft)
1 large egg
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups M&M's or a mixture of M&M's and chocolate chips (divided )

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • Using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat butter and both sugars for 2 minutes, until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. On low speed, add in flour mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Gently stir in M&M's/chocolate chips - I usually add about 3/4 cup into the batter, the rest get pressed on top of the cookies before baking.
  • Scoop balls of dough, between 1.5 and 2.5 tablespoon portions (a little smaller or a little larger than a golf ball). Drop dough onto prepared baking sheets leaving an inch or two for spreading. I like to mound the dough balls so that they're higher rather than wider (for thicker cookies). Using the remaining M&M's/chocolate chips, nestle several (5 or so) onto the top of each mound of dough. Keep in mind that the cookies will spread out while baking, so be generous.
  • Bake for 8-11 minutes (see note), until the edges of the cookies are set but the center is still slightly underdone, this will create a soft cookie. For a crispier cookie, continue baking for another minute or two. See note about getting perfectly round cookies.
  • Place the baking sheets on wire racks and allow the cookies to cool completely. They will firm up as they cool.
