It's easy to make Healthy Thai Peanut Sauce in just 5 minutes! Perfect for drizzling over veggie bowls, tossing with noodles or using as a dipping sauce for chicken satay or spring rolls.

¼ cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons coconut aminos
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a mason jar.
  • Secure the lid and shake to combine all of the ingredients.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

I created this recipe as an answer to the high fat peanut sauces in restaurants and in most recipes. It is a touch sweeter than most, but I find the soy sauce and the cayenne dampens the sweetness considerably.

1/2 cup better n' Peanut butter low-fat peanut butter
1/2 cup hot water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon pureed ginger
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
5 scallions, sliced
5 sprigs fresh basil, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cayenne

Steps:

  • Mix peanut butter with hot water in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Add spices, soy sauce and cornstarch and whisk to remove any lumps.
  • Steam-fry veggies of choice, and add the peanut sauce when stirfry is half done.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer until veggies are done and the sauce thickens.
  • Serve!

This creamy peanut spring roll sauce can be served as a dipping sauce, stir fry sauce, or over rice dishes. With no cooking required, it's ready in 10-minutes flat!

2 tablespoons Bragg's liquid aminos, or soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar, or red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon minced garlic, (I use the kind in jar)
3 tablespoons natural peanut butter, or 6 Tbsp PB2 + 3 Tbsp water
1/4 cup almond milk, more if needed to thin
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
1 teaspoon Thai chili paste, or 1/4 tsp Sriracha

Steps:

  • Begin by deciding if you want to use natural peanut butter, which is just crushed peanuts without any additives, or a defatted powder called PB2.
  • If using PB2 powder, reconstitute according to package instructions.
  • I personally usually use natural peanut butter, but this spring roll sauce is terrific either way.
  • Combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk together until smooth.
  • If needed, heat mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds to allow for easier blending. If it needs to be thinned a bit, just add a little more almond milk.
  • Serve as a dipping sauce for spring rolls and wraps, over noodles, or as a salad dressing. It is perfect as a stir fry sauce as well.

2 cups cooked whole wheat noodles
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Plece room temperature noodles in a medium bowl.
  • In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well, until blended. (If you are using a thinker type of peanut butter you may need to use more water).
  • Spoon over noodles and serve.

1 small onion (diced)
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 teaspoon chili (crushed)
1 teaspoon curry powder
2 tablespoons peanut butter
125 g tinned chopped peeled tomatoes
1 cup vegetable stock
1/2 lemon
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • In a saucepan add oil, onions and garlic stir until the onions become transparent.
  • Add chilli and curry powder and stir for a further 2 minutes to release the flavor.
  • Stir in penut butter and then add tomatoes and stock.
  • Simmer for 5-7 minutues.
  • Add lemon salt and pepper to taste.
  • Enjoy!
