6 pieces phyllo dough
1/2 cup kidney bean
1 tablespoon flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 egg

Steps:

  • The peolple very like sweetened bean paste bun in china.I don't find azuki bean in supermarket,I think that certainly my sight has bad.So,I chose to use kidney bean instead of azuki bean.
  • Preheat pan and put in flour,keep strring 2 minutes.Then the flour will be riped. Don't put the flour in microwave oven because that will prossible explode.
  • Put kidney beans without any soup in a big bowl.Ground it by a tablespoon. Of course,you can use blender to di it. But I don't like it because wash it so troublesome.
  • Add brown sugar and riped flour in it ,keep strring untile kidney bean become bean paste.
  • Preheat pan and put in butter untile melted.
  • My fillo size is 13x18',cut it into 13x9',This size fits well.
  • Brush thinest butter on the fillo. Of course,you can brush more butter ,it will more delicious,but I think that don't health.
  • Fold the fillo into a third. Put kidney bean paste on it and roll it tightly.
  • Do the rest of it like this, and array them on toast pan.Brush a layer egg on it.
  • Preheat oven 375 and bake it 25 minutes -- Then,though my English is poor ,but I'm going to enjoying the delicious food.

1 15 oz can of dark kidney beans - drained and rinsed
1/4 cup creamy regular or chocolate peanut butter
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup quick oats
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup coconut or vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2/3 cup chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips in a food processor. Pulse until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and mix with spoon so they are equally distributed.
  • Grease 8x8 pan and pour brownie mixture in it. Take a spatula to smooth out the top.
  • Bake the brownies for 16-18 minutes and remove from oven.
  • Combine milk, butter and powdered sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat, bringing to a boil. Allow to cook at a rolling boil for 30 seconds. Remove from heat.
  • Add chocolate chips and vanilla to saucepan and stir until the chips are melted.
  • Pour immediately over warm brownies.
  • Put in refrigerator to allow brownies to set quickly.
  • Enjoy!

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; cook the onion, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 5 minutes. 1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
thumb-sized piece of ginger, peeled and finely chopped
1 small pack coriander, stalks finely chopped, leaves roughly shredded
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground paprika
2 tsp garam masala
400g can chopped tomatoes
400g can kidney beans, in water
cooked basmati rice, to serve

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a low-medium heat. Add the onion and a pinch of salt and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until softened and just starting to colour. Add the garlic, ginger and coriander stalks and cook for a further 2 mins, until fragrant.
  • Add the spices to the pan and cook for another 1 min, by which point everything should smell aromatic. Tip in the chopped tomatoes and kidney beans in their water, then bring to the boil.
  • Turn down the heat and simmer for 15 mins until the curry is nice and thick. Season to taste, then serve with the basmati rice and the coriander leaves.

3 cups grated cheddar cheese (or to taste)
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh garlic (to taste)
1 small green bell pepper, coarsley chopped (optional)
3 -4 tablespoons oil
3 -4 teaspoons chili powder (to taste)
1 (28 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes, drained and coarsley chopped
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Heat a large skillet with oil over medium heat.
  • Add in onion, garlic and green bell pepper (if using) saute until the onions are just golden.
  • Add in the chili powder, salt and pepper; cook stirring for 1 minute.
  • Add in the red kidney beans and drained chopped tomatoes; cook, stirring for 20 minutes, seasoning with more chili powder, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with about 1-1/2 cups cheese.
  • Top with remaining bean mixture.
  • Then top with remaining 1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese (or to taste).
  • Bake uncovered for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is browned.
  • Serve hot.

½ tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
3 tbsp vegetable oil or groundnut oil
1 small cauliflower (400g-500g prepped weight), broken up into large florets and stalk cut into 2cm pieces.
1 tbsp cornflour
3 garlic cloves , finely chopped
thumb-sized piece ginger , finely chopped
1 tbsp chilli flakes (or to taste)
1 bunch spring onions , finely sliced on the the diagonal
2 tbsp maple syrup
5 tbsp light soy sauce
1 ½ tbsp rice vinegar or balsamic vinegar
400g can kidney beans , drained and rinsed
small bunch of coriander , roughly chopped (optional)
large handful of salted peanuts , roughly chopped

Steps:

  • Put the peppercorns in a dry frying pan and toast over a medium heat for 3 mins, stirring frequently. Tip onto a plate.
  • Put 2 tbsp oil in the frying pan, add the cauliflower and cook over a high heat for 5 mins to colour. Meanwhile, blitz the peppercorns in a small food processor or grind using a pestle and mortar and mix with the cornflour.
  • Drizzle the remaining 1 tbsp oil in the pan and add a third of the cornflour mix to coat the cauliflower. Cook for 1 min, then add the garlic, ginger, chilli, three-quarters of the spring onions and 400ml water.
  • Cover with a lid or baking tray and boil for a couple of mins. As this cooks, add the maple syrup, soy sauce and vinegar, plus 6 tbsp water, to the remaining cornflour mix in a separate bowl. Stir until smooth and set aside.
  • Add the maple cornflour mix to the cauliflower, stirring. Bring to the boil, then turn down the heat, add the beans, cover and simmer until the sauce thickens and the cauliflower is tender.
  • Tip onto a plate, scatter over the coriander, if using, then top with the remaining spring onions and the peanuts.
