KID FRIENDLY SLOPPY JOES ("NO GREEN STUFF")
This truly is kid friendly cuz there are no "pieces or green things" for the kids to pick out.

Steps:
- In a skillet, over medium heat, sautee onion until slightly translucent. Use cooking spray if desired.
- Add ground beef or turkey, add salt and pepper.
- Cook until no longer pink.
- In the mean time: In your 2 cup measuring vessel, combine ketchup, vinegar, mustard, brown sugar. Stir into meat once it is fully cooked.
- Simmer 15-20 minutes. Serve hot on soft rolls or buns.
- Note: you may use 3/4 cup ketchup and 1/4 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce for added zing.

- In large skillet, brown ground beef and onions until beef is no longer pink.
- Drain off all grease, rinse if desired.
- Add Sloppy Joe sauce.
- Mix well.
- Separate dough into the 10 biscuits.
- On ungreased cookie sheet, press each biscuit into a 4'x4" square.
- Place about 1/4 cup of meat mixture in center of square.
- Fold over corner to corner, to form triangle.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until biscuits are lightly browned.

MY FAMILY'S FAVORITE SLOPPY JOES
This is a simple recipe I got several years ago. My family has recently began using it again & everyone loves it.

Steps:
- Brown the Ground Beef with the Onion, Salt & Pepper in skillet. Could use more or less onion to suit your own taste.
- Stir in Soup & Ketchup. Could use more or less ketchup to suit your own taste.
- Simmer for approximately 20 minutes & serve on the Hamburger Buns.
- If making multiple batches for a large amount of people, it can be mixed together in a Crock pot after browning the Ground Beef & cook on low for 2-4 hours.
SLOPPY JOES FOR PICKY KIDS!
I combined several recipes and came up with this and all 3 of my kids loved it, LOL! I use ground turkey, but you can use whatever ground meat you like. You can even use a combo of ground meat and TVP, for even lower fat. I used 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder and it wasn't too hot for the kids. See Note.

Steps:
- Start making the sauce by combining the ketchup, sugar, mustard, vinegar, Worc. sauce and chili powder in a small saucepot.
- Bring to a low boil and reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook ground turkey, garlic, red pepper and onion in a large saucepan until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- Add sauce to meat and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
- NOTE: You could add chopped carrot and ground flax seed for added nutrition too, if your kids aren't too picky! The sauce tends to mask all the other vegetable flavors.

- Quarter onion and remove seeds and stem from bell pepper. Add to blender and puree until smooth.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onion-pepper puree, breaking up with a spoon, for 4 to 5 minutes, until beef is no longer pink.
- Rinse out blender. Add can of pears with juice, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and garlic powder to clean blender. Puree until smooth.
- Add pear-ketchup puree to skillet, bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.
