This Hot Bacon Dressing is the perfect salad topper! Smoky bacon paired with vinegar, garlic, mustard, & a bit of sweetness make this recipe a must try!

8 slices bacon
1/4 cup bacon fat
1 garlic clove (minced)
3 tablespoons champagne vinegar
1 tablespoon Swerve brown sugar
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
½ teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Cook the bacon, reserving ¼ cup of the fat and chopping the bacon.
  • Add the reserved fat back to the skillet over medium low heat, stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a low simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in the bacon and serve.

4 slices bacon, diced into 1/8-inch cubes
3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Place the bacon in a medium saucepan over low heat & stir until some of the fat begins to render from the bacon. Raise the heat to medium & cook the bacon, stirring frequently, until it is crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the crisp bacon to a paper towel lined plate, keeping all of the fat drippings in the pan.
  • Return the pan to the burner. Add the garlic, swirl, & immediately add the remaining dressing ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil & let it cook for 1 min, or until the dressing coats the back of a spoon. It should leave a trail when your finger is drawn through the dressing on the back of the spoon. Stir in the bacon.
  • Use immediately or transfer to a heat proof jar with a tight fitting lid & store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, gently reheating & stirring before serving.

  • Dice bacon and put in a cold pan over medium heat. Cook until crisp, stirring occasionally, about 5-6 minutes. Remove bacon. Pour bacon grease into a small container to use for the dressing.
  • While the bacon cooks, slice the mushrooms, finely chop the shallot, and slice or chop the eggs.
  • Keeping the heat at medium, add the mushrooms to the pan and keep moving for a few seconds until lightly cooked, but not raw. Remove.
  • Saute the shallots until translucent. Turn the heat to medium low and add the bacon grease, vinegar, Sukrin Gold, tarragon, and whole grain mustard, stir until the ingredients combine and emulsify. Salt and pepper to taste.
