Stuff seals well. I used it in a few spots on my shower floor with kerdi membrane, and flood tested it for 4 days straight with no leaks. Not sure why it costs so much (besides the Kerdi name). After reading many online forums, I read there is a standard off the shelf limestone sealant which does virtually the same thing, but is < 1/4 the price.
