We took the beloved Cobb salad up a notch by turning it into a delicious pasta salad! All the classic ingredients are here: chicken, bacon, blue cheese, hard-cooked eggs and more-all tossed together with a zingy dressing that keeps the flavors balanced. It makes for such a lovely dish that no one will ever guess it took only 25 minutes to toss together-but we won't tell if you don't! With 16 servings, this salad is perfect to bring to your next party or potluck. Or, make it ahead of a busy week and let the family help themselves to dinner.

2 boxes Betty Crocker™ Suddenly Salad™ BLT pasta salad
1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons lemon juice
4 cups chopped romaine lettuce (8 oz)
8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
2 medium avocados, pitted, peeled and coarsely chopped
4 hard-cooked eggs, peeled, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • In 4-quart saucepan, cook pasta as directed on box; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain well.
  • In large bowl, stir together seasoning mix pouches, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Stir in cooked pasta.
  • Spread lettuce on large serving platter. Top with pasta mixture. Arrange remaining salad ingredients in rows over pasta.

8 ounces corkscrew-shaped pasta
¾ cup Italian-style salad dressing
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 cups chopped, cooked rotisserie chicken
12 slices crispy cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup cubed Muenster cheese
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
8 ounces cherry tomatoes, halved
1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and chopped

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 10 to 12 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • Whisk Italian-style dressing and mayonnaise together in a large bowl. Stir pasta, chicken, bacon, Muenster cheese, celery, green bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, and avocado into dressing until evenly coated.

2 cups uncooked shell pasta
1 (1 ounce) packet hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1/4 cup bacon bits
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups cut-up cooked turkey or 1 1/2 cups chicken
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, cut into fourths
1/2 cup julienne strips cheddar cheese
4 cups bite-size pieces lettuce

Steps:

  • Fill large saucepan 2/3 full of water. Heat to boiling. Stir in contents of Pasta.
  • Gently boil uncovered 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  • Drain pasta. Rinse with cold water. Shake to drain well.
  • Combine Hidden valley ranch mix, onion powder and bacon bits with mayonnaise in large bowl. Stir in chilled pasta and remaining ingredients except lettuce. Serve on lettuce. Refrigerate leftovers (if desired, moisten with a few teaspoons milk before servings).

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (use your favorite shaped pasta)
1 1/4 cups mayonnaise (I prefer Miracle Whip)
5 teaspoons white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 lb bacon, cooked crisp, drained, and crumbled
1 head bibb lettuce (or whatever you like)
5 green onions, thinly sliced
1 -2 tomatoes, diced and seeded
1 1/4 cups celery, diced

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, rinse and cool.
  • Toss the stir-ins with the cooled pasta.
  • Mix dressing ingredients together in a small dish. Stir well.
  • Pour dressing over pasta mixture, toss to coat well, cover and chill at least two hours, best if longer.
  • Just before serving, stir in your crumbled bacon. Toss to coat.
  • Serve with the 'B' and 'T' with the 'L' and maybe some extra 'T' wedges.

4 cups seeded coarsely chopped tomatoes (about 2 1/2 pounds)
4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 cups thinly sliced romaine lettuce
1/2 cup low-fat mayonnaise
1/3 cup plain low-fat yogurt, drained
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; toss gently.
  • Combine mayonnaise and next 6 ingredients; stir well.

This is my favorite pasta salad. Quick,easy and tasty. My family loves this. You need to use the ranch and bacon suddenly salad mix but the ingredient list made me list it as classic. Got this from Betty Crocker a long time ago but made modifications. You can change the meat and use cooked chicken. I have even used lunch meat chicken and turkey in a pinch.

1 (7 1/2 ounce) box Betty Crocker suddenly pasta salad classic (ranch and bacon)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups cut-up cooked turkey
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, cut into fourths
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups lettuce (bit size pieces)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to directions on box.
  • Drain pasta and rinse with cold water.
  • Stir seasoning mix, milk and mayonnaise in large bowl.
  • Stir in pasta and remaining ingredients except lettuce.
  • Serve on lettuce.

6 cherry tomatoes , halved
½ tbsp crème fraîche
¼ tsp wholegrain mustard

Steps:

  • The night before school, cook the pasta following pack instructions and run under cold water to cool quickly. Mix in the bacon, spinach, tomatoes, crème fraîche and mustard, and season with a little salt. Spoon into an airtight container and keep overnight in the fridge.

8 ounces medium pasta (shells, rotini, penne)
8 slices bacon
2 cups chicken (cooked & chopped )
2 green onions (sliced, divided )
1 cup halved grape tomatoes
½ cup cheddar cheese (cut into ¼-inch cubes)
½ avocado (for garnish, optional)
⅓ cup mayonnaise
⅓ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons milk (or as needed)
2 teaspoons fresh chives (or 1 teaspoon dried)
2 teaspoons fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried)
2 teaspoons fresh parsley (or 1 ½ teaspoon dried)
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
salt & black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Combine all dressing ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel lined plate to cool. If desired, whisk 1 tablespoon bacon grease into the dressing.
  • Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • Set aside 1 tablespoon of green onions and half of the bacon for garnish.
  • Toss all ingredients in a large bowl except dressing. Add dressing to taste (there may be leftover dressing).

1/2 lb thick lean platter bacon
4 slices deli turkey, julienned
1/2 head lettuce, chopped coarse
2 cups grape tomatoes, halved lengthwise
4 -6 ounces swiss cheese, cubed or julienned
1 -2 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 (1 lb) box mostaccioli noodles, cooked and drained
1 lemon
Miracle Whip or mayonnaise
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Cut bacon into 1" pices, cook til crisp, drain on paper towels.
  • In large bowl combine lettuce, tomatoes, swiss cheese, onion, and noodles.
  • Add enough Miracle Whip to coat nicely.
  • Add zest of half a lemon.
  • Add juice of half to whole lemon.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Gently fold all til well combined.
  • *You can sub green onions if you prefer.
