Asian Pork Stir Fry with Peppers image

Tender juicy pork, stir fried with crispy peppers and onions in a garlicky savory sauce. Not only is it so easy and fast to make, but it also makes a great weekday main dish with affordable ingredients and is loaded with nutrition. {Gluten-Free Adaptable}To make the dish gluten free, use dry sherry to replace Shaoxing wine. Use tamari or coconut amino to replace light soy sauce.

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 lbs (450g) pork loin (, cut into 1/4-inch (5-mm) slices)
1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine ((or dry sherry))
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce ((Optional) (*Footnote 1))
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine ((or dry sherry))

2 tablespoons peanut oil ((or vegetable oil))
1 teaspoon ginger (, minced)
3 cloves garlic (, minced)
1/4 onion (, sliced)
1 bell pepper (, chopped)

Steps:

  • Combine all the Marinade ingredients under in a medium-sized bowl. Add the pork and mix well. Marinate for 10 to 15 minutes. Prepare the other ingredients while the pork marinates.
  • Mix all the Sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat until hot. Spread the pork with minimal overlapping. Cook for 45 seconds to 1 minute, until the bottom turns golden. Flip to cook the other side for 30 seconds. Transfer the pork to a large plate.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil, ginger, and garlic. Stir fry until fragrant, 20 seconds or so. Add the onion and the bell pepper. Cook and stir until starting to turn tender, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Mix the sauce again to fully dissolve the cornstarch. Pour into the pan and add back the pork. Immediately stir to mix well. The sauce will thicken very quickly, in a couple seconds. Transfer everything to a large plate.
  • Serve hot over steamed rice as a main dish.

SKILLET PORK AND PEPPERS

Skillet Pork and Peppers image

This one-pan dish has flavors reminiscent of the Italian-American classic sausage-and-peppers, but is much lighter. We've swapped the typical sausage for lean and juicy pork tenderloin and added pickled pepperoncini for zip.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     main-dish

Time 40m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 large pork tenderloin (about 11/2 pounds), trimmed
Kosher salt
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 small onion, thickly sliced
2 red and/or yellow bell peppers, sliced into wide strips
6 cloves garlic, smashed
16 fresh sage leaves
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 cup sliced pickled pepperoncini, plus 2 teaspoons liquid from the jar
1/3 cup dry white wine
2/3 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Steps:

  • Preheat the broiler. Slice the pork on an angle into 1-inch-thick pieces; season with salt. Heat a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat; add 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add the onion and bell peppers; season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook until the vegetables are crisp-tender and slightly browned, 4 to 6 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
  • Add the remaining 2 tablespoons oil to the skillet. Add the pork and sear over high heat until browned, 2 to 4 minutes per side. Transfer the pork to the plate with the onion and peppers.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and add the garlic, sage and tomato paste to the skillet. Cook, stirring, until the tomato paste turns brick-red, about 1 minute. Add the pepperoncini slices and their liquid, then pour in the wine and bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits with a wooden spoon or spatula. Add the broth and return to a simmer. Arrange the pork in a single layer in the skillet; add the onion and peppers and sprinkle with cheese. Transfer to the oven and broil until the pork is cooked through, 4 to 7 minutes.

JUICY PORK TENDERLOIN WITH PEPPERS AND ONIONS

Juicy Pork Tenderloin with Peppers and Onions image

The trick to the best pork tenderloin is to sear the pork on all sides before roasting. In our recipe, the pork is browned on all sides and then baked on top a bed of onions and peppers. Most often, you will find pork tenderloins sold in packages with two tenderloins. One tenderloin should generously serve two people and will most likely serve three. One note, "pork tenderloins" and "pork loin" are two different cuts of meat. Pork tenderloins are much smaller and take less time to cook.

Time 55m

Yield Makes 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 pork tenderloins (about 1 1/2-pounds each)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 medium onions, sliced
3 bell peppers, sliced
1 tablespoon minced garlic cloves (3 cloves)
1 tablespoon whole ground mustard or Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
Salt and fresh ground pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Trim each tenderloin of any silver skin (this can be tough when cooked). To do this, use a small sharp knife and slide the blade under and outward to remove it.
  • Pat pork dry with paper towels, and then season on all sides with one teaspoon of salt.
  • Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed oven-safe skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot and shimmers, add the pork tenderloins and cook, turning every few minutes, until evenly browned all over; 10 to 12 minutes. Transfer to a large plate or cutting board. (The pork will not be cooked through).
  • Keep the pan used to sear the pork on the stove over medium heat. Add the butter. When the butter is melted and bubbling, stir in the onions then cook, stirring often, until they start to soften, about 5 minutes. Stir in the bell peppers, garlic, one teaspoon of thyme, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Cook, stirring every minute or so, for 5 more minutes.
  • Use a pastry brush (or use your fingers) to rub the seared pork all over with the mustard, two teaspoons of thyme, and a generous amount of black pepper (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon).
  • Place the seared pork tenderloins on top of the onions and bell peppers, and then slide the pan into the oven. Roast 15 to 20 minutes or until an internal thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 145 degrees F. Transfer the pork to a large plate and cover with aluminum foil. Let rest about 5 minutes.
  • To serve, slice pork into 1-inch slices then serve on top of the onions and peppers.

EASY JUICY PORK TENDERLOIN

Easy Juicy Pork Tenderloin image

This is a super easy recipe for the juiciest, tastiest pork tenderloin. Adapted from a Paula Deen recipe to simplify it for our busy schedules. Brining the pork keeps it tender and juicy, eliminates high roasting temperatures, and constantly checking for doneness. It's fantastic with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side.

PORK TOP LOIN WITH A RED BELL PEPPER, MUSHROOM, AND ONION SAUCE

Pork Top Loin With a Red Bell Pepper, Mushroom, and Onion Sauce image

Make and share this Pork Top Loin With a Red Bell Pepper, Mushroom, and Onion Sauce recipe from Food.com.

Provided by Cookin Daddy

Categories     Pork

Time 1h15m

Yield 6 Slices, 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 -3 lbs pork, top loin
3 tablespoons your favorite barbecue rub
1/8-1/4 cup brown sugar
5 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup thick sliced button mushroom
1/2 cup coarse chopped white onion
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup apple juice
1 1/2 tablespoons liquid smoke

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse Pork Top loin then pat dry. Apply barbecue rub to the outside of the pork loin, use as much rub as you see fit. I keep it to where it is lightly coated more like a heavy salt and pepper consistency. Next, lightly apply the brown sugar so that it coats the top of the rub and covers the loin. Place pork loin on a raised rack in a 13x9 cooking dish and slide in the oven. Let it cook until you see that the brown sugar is just starting to roll off of the pork loin and onto the bottom of the cooking dish, then add 3/4 cup of water and 3/4 cup of apple juice along with the 1 1/2tbs of liquid smoke to the bottom of the cooking dish. Cook until the internal temperature of the meat is around 140 degrees and drain the sauce from the cooking dish and into a warm pan on the stove, "Place loin back in the oven and continue to cook", add the red bell pepper, mushrooms, and onion to sauce on the stove and reduce the sauce until it is the consistency you want. combine the 5tbs of ketchup and the 1/4 cup of apple juice and Baste the loin with the glaze 2-3 time before the loin is finished cooking. This is not a real thick glaze! More like a mop sauce. Remove pork loin when internal temperature is 165-170 degrees and let it rest for 8-10 minutes. Slice pork loin into 3/4 inch slices and top with the sauce from the stove, and serve while hot. This dish goes well with white rice also.
