Browned ground beef mixed with dried taco seasoning is layered in a casserole with canned refried beans and salsa. It is topped with shredded Monterey Jack cheese and baked.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese

Steps:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
In a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef, and drain fat.
Mix in dry taco seasoning.
Spoon browned meat into a 9x13 inch glass baking dish.
Spoon a layer of refried beans over meat, then salsa.
Top with shredded cheese.
Bake about 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven.

Ingredients

1 bag tortilla chips
1 pkg (1 - 2 lb.) ground turkey burger
1 pkg Taco Bell Taco Seasoning
1 can Taco Bell Fat-Free Refried Beans
1 can fiesta nacho cheese soup or pepperjack cheese soup
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded pepperjack cheese
Sour cream and salsa (optional for garnish)

Steps:

Line the bottom of a large baking dish with a layer of tortilla chips.
Brown ground turkey until done, drain grease. Add taco seasoning following directions on package. Add can of refried beans to turkey burger. Add can of cheese soup to turkey and bean mixture. Mix until well blended then pour over the layer of chips. Top with shredded cheese. Cover with another layer of chips.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 12 - 15 minutes or until chips are slightly browned and cheese is melted. Serve topped with sour cream and salsa.
