Jerk Sweet Potato Fries Food

JERK SWEET POTATO FRIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
• Mix jerk seasoning together in a small bowl. Reserve 2 Tablespoons for use in recipe and keep the remainder in an air-tight container.
• Toss sweet potato slices in a bowl with vegetable, jerk seasoning and salt.
• Spread potatoes out onto a prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
• Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until they are slightly browned.
• Transfer to a paper-towel lines plate and serve warm.

BAKED SWEET POTATO FRIES

Steps:

• Spray a 15x10x1-inch baking pan with nonstick coating.
• Scrub potatoes; cut lengthwise into quarters, then cut each quarter into 2 wedges.
• Arrange potatoes in a single layer in pan.
• Combine margarine or butter, salt, and nutmeg.
• Brush onto potatoes.
• Bake in a 450° oven 20 minutes or until brown and tender.

SWEET POTATO FRIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350.
• Cut sweet potatoes in half and then slice into small strips that resemble standard french fries & place in large mixing bowl.
• Sprinkle potatoes with olive oil & all spices, toss until each potato is covered in oil and spices.
• Spread potatoes on boiling pans or wire racks over baking sheets (allows for excess oil to drip and not sit on fries).
• Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour (until browned, they will still be pliable).
• Serve with sour cream or my spicy sour cream dip.

SPICY SWEET POTATO FRIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 500f degrees.
• Cut potatoes into wedges.
• Place wedges in a bowl with remaining ingredients, toss potatoes until evenly coated.
• Season with salt and pepper if desired.
• Arrange seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on greased baking sheet for quicker baking.
• For crisper fries, place potatoes at least 1 inch apart.
• Bake on middle oven rack for approximately 20 minutes or until crisp on the outside and soft inside when pricked with a toothpick or fork.
• Turn once about half way through baking.
