Give this easy turkey meatloaf a quick Italian makeover using marinara sauce and Italian breadcrumbs and you'll have one big, perfect meatball for the whole family.

1 pound ground turkey
1 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
2 eggs
¼ cup finely chopped onion
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (14 ounce) jar marinara sauce, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine turkey, bread crumbs, eggs, onion, Parmesan cheese, and pepper in a large bowl. Fold in 1 cup marinara sauce.
  • Pat turkey mixture firmly into a 8x4-inch loaf pan using wet hands. Pour remaining marinara sauce on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until meatloaf is no longer pink in the center, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Let stand 20 minutes before cutting.

1 (20 7/8 ounce) package ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, finely chopped
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce, divided
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese, plus (divided)
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese, divided
2 teaspoons italian seasoning, divided
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Press a 24-inch long piece of nonstick aluminum foil into an oval slow cooker bowl, with nonstick side facing up, so that it is flush with bowl and ends hang out over sides.
  • In a large bowl, gently stir together turkey, onion, green pepper, egg, garlic, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, bread crumbs, 1/3 cup cheese, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, garlic salt and black pepper. Place meatloaf mixture in slow cooker and form into a 9 x 5-inch log. Cover and cook on HIGH 2-1/2 hours or on LOW 4-1/2 hours or until internal temperature registers 160° on an instant read thermometer.
  • About 30 minutes before cooking is complete, place remaining 1/4 cup tomato sauce in a small bowl and stir in remaining 2 tablespoons Parmean cheese and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Pour tomato sauce mixture over meatloaf; cover and continue to cook another 30 minutes.
  • Carefully lift meatloaf out of slow cooker using foil cradle and place on a cutting board. Using two long offset spatulas, carefully lift meatloaf off of foil and place on serving dish. Discard foil and any liquid and serve immediately.

1 large onion, chopped
1 cup chopped sweet red, yellow or green peppers
1-1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Cut three 25x3-in. strips of heavy-duty foil; crisscross so they resemble spokes of a wheel. Place strips on bottom and up sides of a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker. Coat strips with cooking spray., In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, peppers and mushrooms; cook and stir until tender, 4-6 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, chopped
1/3 cup crushed saltines (about 10 crackers)
3/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/2 pound reduced-fat bulk pork sausage
SAUCE:
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

2 medium carrots, cut into chunks
1 small onion, cut into wedges
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste, divided
3 teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 package (20 ounces) lean ground turkey
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Place garlic, carrots and onion in a food processor; pulse until finely chopped. Add beans; process until blended. In a large bowl, combine oats, milk, half of the tomato paste, 1-1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, seasoned salt and black bean mixture. 1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup chopped onion

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Reserve 1/3 cup pizza sauce; cover and refrigerate.
  • In a bowl, combine remaining pizza sauce with next 7 ingredients. Mix together well.
  • Form meat mixture into loaf and place into crockpot. (place 3 intersecting strips of foil in the bottom of the slow-cooker to aid in removing the meatloaf later).
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hrs or on high for 4-6 hours (To ensure doneness, insert a meat thermo into centre of loaf; internal temp should read 170°F.).
