ITALIAN DRESSING MARINATED STEAKS
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Place meat into a resealable plastic bag and pour in Italian dressing. Release air from bag and seal. Place bag into refrigerator for 4 to 12 hours.
- Remove bag from refrigerator and let stand at room temperature at least 30 minutes before grilling.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove steaks from the bag and discard marinade.
- Season steaks with salt, lemon pepper, and black pepper.
- Place steaks onto the grill and cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
- Once steaks have reached preferred doneness, remove from heat onto a warmed plate and let rest for 5 to 7 minutes before serving so juices can be evenly distributed. Serve with your choice of sides.

Giardiniera is an Italian relish of pickled vegetables; in the US, it is very popular in Chicago. Ree's recipe here is a quick version which she serves on sandwiches.

- For the giardiniera: Combine the carrots, pepperoncini, jalapeños, roasted red peppers, olive oil, pepperoncini liquid, garlic powder and pepper in a bowl. Toss well, then set aside.
- For the beef: Remove the sirloin from the freezer and, using a mandoline or a sharp knife, cut into very thin strips against the grain. Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a large saute pan. Add the beef and sauté until starting to brown, but still pink, about 2 minutes. Add the Italian seasoning and garlic, then cook for 30 seconds. Add the broth and vinegar, then bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat.
- Place 3 slices of provolone on each roll. Top with the hot beef. Sprinkle with some of the giardiniera. Serve with extra broth on the side for dipping.

- In a shallow bowl, whisk egg. In another shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cut steak into four pieces; dip each piece in egg, then coat with bread crumb mixture., In a large skillet, cook steaks in oil over medium-high heat for 2-4 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°)., Meanwhile, heat sauce in a small saucepan. ITALIAN BREADED STEAK UM
My mother-in-law used to make this while my hubby was growing up and it was passed onto me with a little tweaking. Serve this with a crisp salad, favorite pasta, along with some italian bread.

Steps:
- Combine first 7 ingredients in medium sauce pan.
- Allow to simmer approximately 15 minutes on med-high heat, then reduce to low to keep warm.
- Slice roast into 1/8" slices.
- (Doing this when the roast is still half frozen is the easiest).
- Dip roast slices in egg, then in breadcrumbs seasoned with the Parmesan.
- Heat Olive Oil to 375 degrees in fry pan or deep fryer also works well.
- Fry roast slices approximately 3-4 minutes for each side until golden brown.
- Layer paper towel in serving dish along with fried slices of roast to provide proper drainage of olive oil.
- Serve roast slice with sauce on the side for dipping.
