½ cup bread (cut into cubes)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Add oil to an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add onions and mushrooms. Cook for about 4 minutes or until tender and lightly browned.
  • Add the bread cubes, bacon, and cheese on top, and distribute evenly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream and salt.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the cheese. Cook for about 2 minutes until you see the egg mixture at the edges of the pan start to set.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes.

1 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 pound baby portobello mushrooms, quartered
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium sweet red pepper, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 packages (6 ounces each) fresh baby spinach
8 slices Italian bread (1 inch thick)
12 large eggs
1 cup 2% milk
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 cups shredded Italian cheese blend

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage, mushrooms, onion, peppers and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain and set aside., In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, saute spinach until wilted. Place bread on a baking sheet. Broil 2-3 in. from heat for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish., In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Layer sausage mixture and spinach over bread; pour egg mixture over top. 1 cup chopped white onions
½ cup chopped green bell peppers
½ cup chopped red bell peppers
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, divided
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt, divided
1 ½ tablespoons dried parsley
1 pound Italian-flavored bulk pork sausage
8 large eggs
3 cups whole milk
½ cup half-and-half
1 ½ tablespoons Italian seasoning
8 cups cubed stale French bread (1-inch cubes)
2 ounces cooked crumbled bacon
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1 cup fine seasoned dry bread crumbs, divided
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 2 teaspoons butter and set aside.
  • Melt 2 teaspoons butter in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, green and red bell peppers, 1 teaspoon black pepper, garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cook, stirring, until vegetables are soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Add parsley, stir, and remove from heat. Let vegetables cool.

  • Combine remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs, remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and remaining 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Remove pudding from oven, leaving oven on. Uncover and sprinkle bread crumb mixture evenly over the top. Return to the oven and increase heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Continue baking until pudding is completely set in the center, puffed, and golden brown on top, about 20 minutes more.
  • Remove from oven and allow to stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

vegetable oil, if needed
1 cup chopped yellow onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers or 1/2 cup red bell pepper
4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 -2 garlic clove, minced
10 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
fresh ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese or 1/2 cup romano cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°; in a skillet over medium heat, cook pancetta until crisp, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove to a plate, leaving 2 tablespoons drippings in pan (add oil if necessary).
  • To pan, add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic; stir/saute 6-7 minutes, until tender; return pancetta to skillet.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, flour, parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper together.
  • Add pancetta/vegetable mixture to eggs; fold in mozzarella.
  • Pour mixture into a lightly oiled 13x9 inch baking dish.
