The bartenders at my favorite Iowa City Irish pub make this delicious shot. Be careful! One is wonderful, two is trouble!

Ingredients

½ fluid ounce butterscotch schnapps
½ fluid ounce Irish cream liqueur
½ fluid ounce cinnamon schnapps
¼ cup crushed ice

Steps:

Shake the butterscotch schnapps, Irish liqueur, and cinnamon schnapps in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice; strain into a small glass.

Ingredients

1 cup oleo
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
3 cups quick-cooking oats

Steps:

Cream oleo and sugars until fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Sift flour with baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture.
Add vanilla extract.
Mix in coconut, nuts and rolled oats until uniformly blended.
Roll into 1 1/4 inch balls and space 2-inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
Using your fingers, flatten balls into patties about 1/4" thick, evening up ragged edges.
Bake in 375°F oven 8-10 minutes or until pale golden brown.
Remove to wire rack to cool.

1 1/4 cups margarine
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
3 cups mccann's quick-cooking oatmeal
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts

Steps:

I am trying this recipe with slivered almond instead of walnuts.
Cream margarine and sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; add to shortening mixture.
Mix well.
Stir in the oats, raisins and walnuts.
Drop rounded teaspoons of batter on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350°.
Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire cooling rack.
