This 10-minute Sambal Oelek recipe takes red chili peppers, vinegar, salt, garlic, and lime to make the famous Indonesian red chili paste that's absolutely bursting with flavor! We guarantee it tastes better than the storebought sambal oelek you'll find in Walmart! Our homemade sambal oelek pairs exceptionally well with Asian fried rice, noodles, and much more. And it's naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan.

Steps:
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet on medium-high heat. Add in chili peppers and garlic. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until garlic is fragrant and chili peppers are soft.
- Remove from heat and transfer the ingredients into a molcajete. Add all the remaining ingredients and grind until a rough paste forms. Alternatively, you can add all of the ingredients into a food processor and pulse until roughly combined.
- Add sambal oelek into a jar and cover tightly. Refrigerate until ready to use. ENJOY!

- In food processor, mix all ingredients until you have a lumpy paste. Put in a saucepan (I used a small saucepan and it was perfect). Bring to boil and let simmer slowly about 15 minutes. Add salt to taste.
- Pour in a jar and let cool. It's good up to one month in the fridge.

Steps:
- Put the olive oil and peppers in at least a 1 quart pot and bring to a simmer until the pepper skins are blistered. While this is happening mash the garlic and slice the tomatoe and onion into chunks. When the pepper skins are blistered add all other ingredients and simmer for 5 minute
- Remove from the heat and using your vertical blender frappe on high until a smooth creamy consistency is reached. At this point I put into a 1 quart mason jar, sterilized, and store in the refrigerator.
- Great on pork and seafood.
