1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons Kikkoman Soy Sauce, divided
1 large clove garlic, minced
½ teaspoon sugar
1 pound fresh broccoli, trimmed
4 teaspoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons Kikkoman Seasoned Rice Vinegar

Steps:

  • Cut beef across grain into thin slices. Combine 1 Tbsp. each cornstarch and soy sauce with garlic and sugar in medium bowl; stir in beef. Let stand 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, remove flowerets from broccoli; cut into bite-size pieces. Peel stalks; cut diagonally into thin slices.
  • Combine 1 cup water, remaining 2 Tbsp. soy sauce, 4 teaspoons cornstarch and crushed red pepper in small bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in hot wok or large skillet over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry 1 minute; remove.
  • Heat remaining 2 Tbsp. oil in same pan. Add broccoli and onion; stir-fry 2 minutes. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. water over vegetables; cover and cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add beef and soy sauce mixture; cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Remove from heat; stir in vinegar.

Broccoli 1 lb
Beef 3/4 lb
Onion 1
Garlic 1
Soy sauce 3 tbsp
Rice vinegar 2 tbsp
Cornstarch 2 tbsp + 1 tsp
Red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp

Steps:

  • Cut the beef steak across the grain into thin strips.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, garlic, sugar and 1 tablespoon of the cornstarch together in a bowl.
  • Add the beef to the soy sauce, stir to coat and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Thinly slice the broccoli florets on the diagonal.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the remaining soy sauce, 1 cup of water, 4 teaspoons of cornstarch and the red pepper.
  • Place a wok or large pan over a high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of the oil and heat until smoking. Add the beef strips and fry for a minute, before removing with a slotted spoon.
  • Add the remaining oil, followed by the broccoli and onion. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  • Lower the heat, add a tablespoon of water and place a lid on the pan. Cook 2 minutes, giving everything an occasional toss to loosen.
  • Return the beef to the pan and pour the soy sauce over the top.
  • Cook, stirring, until the sauce starts to boil and thickens.
  • Take the wok off the heat. Add the vinegar and stir through.

1 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons water
sesame seed, as desired

Steps:

  • In an oiled skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steak until cooked all the way through. Remove from the pan.
  • Add a little more oil, then add the garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté until soft.
  • Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, and beef broth. Stir until combined.
  • Add the broccoli florets.
  • In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Add to broccoli mixture. Bring to a boil, until sauce has thickened.

Steps:

  • Cut onion and beef into thin strips (beef should be bite size).
  • Add two tbl oil to hot pan or wok.
  • When oil is hot and swirly, add garlic and onions. Cook two minutes or until onion is lightly browned.
  • Add florets and cook two minutes.
  • Add sirloin and stir fry until cooked through. Don't overcook or florets will be mushy!

1/4 cup green onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1/4 lb fresh shiitake mushroom (can use reconstituted dried)

6 cups fresh broccoli florets (try not to use frozen)
1/4 cup lower-sodium chicken stock, divided
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce

  • First prepare the marinade. Combine sherry, soy sauce, cornstarch and sugar in a medium bowl. Add sliced beef; toss gently. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
