Chili Lime Chicken Wings. These BAKED chicken wings are simple to make and loaded with flavor thanks to a mixture of chili sauce and fresh lime juice and zest. The skin is so crispy on these you won't believe they aren't fried!

4 pounds chicken wings and drumettes
4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp chili garlic sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp lime zest (1 reg lime)
2 tbsp fresh lime juice (1 reg lime)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450. Line large baking sheet with foil and place wire rack on top. Set aside.
  • Dry chicken wings and drumettes with paper towels. Get the chicken as dry as possible.
  • Add baking powder, salt and pepper to a large bowl, mix together. Add the chicken and coat the chicken in the baking powder mixture.
  • Lay the chicken on the baking sheet on top of the wire rack, make sure the chicken is not touching.
  • Bake chicken for 20 minutes. Flip the chicken over using tongs or forks and bake again for 15 more minutes.
  • While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. Combine the chili garlic sauce, honey, melted butter, and lime juice and zest in a small bowl. Stir together. If the butter won't mix, heat the sauce in microwave or in a saucepan briefly just until combined.
  • After the chicken has baked, remove from the oven, brush with the sauce.
  • Cook the chicken for an additional 15 minutes with the sauce on. Remove from the oven and serve.

1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon paprika

FOR SERVING: Ranch dressing crumbly white cheese for topping

Steps:

  • For the wings, pat them as dry, which helps with the crispiness. Add them to a large bowl.
  • Add seasoning mixture and toss to coat.
  • Heat your oven to 250 degrees F. Set the wings onto a lightly oiled baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Flip the wings.
  • Increase oven heat to 425 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and the skins are nice and crispy. You can also hit them with the broiler a couple minutes to crisp them up even more.
  • Toss the hot wings with the honey-bbq sauce. Top with crumbly white cheese and serve with ranch dressing.

15 whole chicken wings (about 3 pounds)
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons canola oil

  • Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip section. Set wings aside. 5 spring onions
1 fresh red chilli
5 tablespoons runny honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cm piece of ginger

  • Trim and finely slice the spring onions and chilli, placing them into a bowl with the honey and soy sauce. Peel, then grate in the ginger, and pick in the thyme leaves. Mix well.

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

3 1/2 lbs (1.6kg) chicken wings
2 TBS baking powder
1 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp seasoning of choice
cooking spray
6 TBS honey
4 TBS low-sodium tamari (or soy sauce, if not gluten free)
4 to 6 TBS lime juice (adjust to your taste)
1/8 to 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/8 tsp granulated garlic
1 TBS coconut aminos (optional)
1 TBS fish sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Arrange your oven racks so that one is in the upper third slot (just above center), and one is in the lower third slot (just below center).
  • Line a large baking pan with foil. Place an oven-safe cookie rack on top of pan. Spray cookie rack generously with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Chop the chicken wings into three pieces, along the joints. Keep the 2 meatier sections for the baked wings. I usually save the wing tips for making chicken broth. Using paper towels, pat dry chicken pieces.
  • In a gallon-sized plastic zippered bag, mix baking powder, kosher salt, and seasoning, if you're using it. Throw in chicken wings and drumettes. Seal bag and shake everything up until chicken pieces are coated with powder mixture. Place chicken pieces on top of greased cookie rack. Don't worry if the wings are close together.
  • Place wings in the lower third slot and bake for 30 minutes. Bring the heat up to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C), and bake for another 45 to 40 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through baking.
  • While wings bake, prepare dipping sauce. In a saucepan, bring sauce ingredients to boil and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 20 minutes.
  • When wings are a nice golden brown, take them out of the oven and let them rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Brush sauce on wings or use it for dipping.

This sticky, crunchy, just spicy enough Chinese-style honey chilli chicken is quicker, tastier and healthier than anything you could order from the takeaway.

4 skinless boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tbsp vegetable oil, plus extra for frying
½ tsp sea salt
1 large free-range egg, beaten
60g/2¼oz plain flour
25g/1oz cornflour
1 large garlic clove, minced
3-4cm/1-1½in fresh root ginger, peeled and grated
1 red chilli, thinly sliced
2 large spring onions, roughly chopped
2 tbsp runny honey
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp Shaoxing rice wine, or dry sherry
½ tsp toasted sesame oil
½ lime, juice only

Steps:

  • Make the sauce by whisking together all the ingredients along with 4 tablespoons cold water. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, toss the chicken pieces with the vegetable oil and sea salt. Stir the egg into the chicken, then add the flour and the cornflour and stir with a metal spoon until the chicken is well coated.
  • Heat enough oil to just cover the bottom of a large wok or frying pan over a medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken pieces in batches and fry for a few minutes on each side until golden. Set the chicken aside to drain on a plate lined with kitchen paper.
  • Discard all the oil in the pan and carefully wipe it clean with another piece of kitchen paper. Return the pan to a medium heat and gently fry the garlic, ginger and chilli in a teaspoon of oil for about a minute until fragrant. Return the chicken to the pan and stir in the sauce. Bring the sauce to a simmer and allow it to bubble away for a minute or so until it has thickened slightly and is coating the chicken.
  • Serve immediately, with the chopped spring onions sprinkled over the top.

3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated

50 ml sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon chili-garlic sauce
2 green onions, sliced thinl

  • Combine chicken with garlic and ginger in a large bowl.
  • Heat oil in a wok, add chicken in batches and cook until browned all over, remove chicken, wipe wok clean, place wok on side, add sauces and honey, stir until well combined.

Zest of 2 limes, removed with a vegetable peeler
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice, about 3 limes
1/4 cup honey
4 cloves of garlic, smashed, skins removed
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
4 pounds (about 24) chicken wings, washed and patted dry
Coarse salt

Steps:

  • Combine lime zest, lime juice, honey, garlic, soy sauce, and Tabasco sauce in a large bowl. Add chicken wings and toss to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate, stirring occasionally, for at least 3 and up to 8 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil, then with racks. Remove wings from the marinade and place on racks, reserving marinade. Brush wings with marinade and sprinkle with salt. Roast 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Baste with reserved marinade. Turn wings over, and baste the second side. Steps:

  • Cut the chicken breast into strips, quite thinly, add some rock salt, black pepper and the flour to a bowl - coat the chicken. Set aside.
  • Finely slice the ginger, cut the chilli into thin strips and remove the seeds.
  • Get a wok and heat your Rapeseed/ Sunflower oil. You'll want a good amount to deep fry the chicken.
  • Meanwhile, juice the lemon into a cup or bowl, add the chilli dipping sauce, soy sauce, water and cornflower and stir together. Leave to one side for now.
  • Fry the chicken in batches for a few minutes in the hot oil until golden brown and remove to drain on paper towels. Repeat until all the chicken is looking ace!
  • Discard all but about a tablespoon of the oil from the wok and gently fry the ginger and sliced chilli for a minute or so.
  • Add the honey to the wok and stir whilst it is bubbling away for another minute. Then add the lemon juice, dipping sauce, soy sauce, water and cornflower. Keep stirring and bring to the boil, the sauce will thicken.
  • Add the chicken to the wok to heat through for a few minutes, toss in the sauce to coat.
  • Slice the spring onions into fancy diagonals and throw in the wok for the last minute - serve with rice. Boooooom!!

These amazing grilled chicken wings that are tossed in a sweet honey chili garlic sauce are the perfect appetizer for any get-together.

1 cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1/4 cup of sesame seed oil
4 pounds of trimmed chicken wings
3 tbsp chili garlic paste
1/4 cup of honey
juice of 2 oranges
sliced green onions for garnish
fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
sesame seeds for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat the grill to 400° to 450°.
  • In a large bowl whisk together hoisin sauce, vinegar, soy, fish sauce, and sesame oil until combined. Once mixed combine with chicken wings and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or over-night.
  • Once marinated remove the chicken from the marinade and cook on a hot grill until dark grills marks have formed and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes per side.
  • Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the grill and set aside. In a separate large bowl, whisk together chili sauce, honey and orange juice. Next, toss the cooked wings in this mixture until the wings are completely coated.

10 whole, fresh chicken wings, cut in pieces (20 wing pieces)
All-purpose flour
Salt
Vegetable oil
1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
2 tablespoons honey
3 teaspoons corn flour
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons hot sauce (recommended: Frank's Hot Sauce)
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons soy sauce
4 shallots, sliced

Steps:

  • Coat chicken wings in flour that has been seasoned with salt. Heat enough vegetable oil in a large skillet on stovetop to fry wings until crisp. Remove wings from skillet, drain on paper towels and set aside. (Wings can also be baked in the oven without the flour.)
  • Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in frying pan and add ginger, cook for 1 minute. Add in honey and stir for an additional minute. In a separate bowl, combine corn flour, water, hot sauce, lemon juice, and soy sauce, then add mixture to pan. Stir until sauce boils and thickens. Add in chicken wings and combine with sauce until thoroughly heated. Add shallots and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Serve Buffalo Wings with blue cheese dressing, carrots and/or celery sticks.

  • Put wings in a rectangular baking pan and cook in the oven at 350 degrees F until nicely browned and getting crisp. Mix soy sauce, honey, water, garlic and ginger together in a small bowl and pour over hot wings. Cook until wings are well coated with the sauce. The sauce will become very thick and stick to the wings.
