To me, Snickerdoodles are the quintessential Christmas cookie. Nope, they are altogether the quintessential cookie.

2 1/2 c. All-purpose Flour
2 tsp. Cream Of Tartar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
3/4 tsp. Salt
1 c. Unsalted Butter, Softened
1 3/4 c. Granulated Sugar, Divided
2 Large Eggs
1 tbsp. Ground Cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF and line several baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter and 1 ½ cups sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Then beat in eggs and scrape the bowl. Turn mixer on low and slowly add flour mixture until well combined.Mix remaining ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Use a 1 ½ tablespoon cookie scoop to measure out dough balls. Roll each ball in your hands to even them out, then roll in cinnamon sugar to thoroughly coat.Place the balls on prepared baking sheets, 2 ½ inches apart. Bake for 8-9 minutes, until just barley golden around the edges. Cool for several minutes on the baking sheets before moving.

Super soft white chocolate dipped Christmas snickerdoodles are chewy and full of cinnamon. They are both festive and delicious!

1 cup butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 10 oz. bag White chocolate melting wafers
Christmas sprinkles

Steps:

  • Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together. Set aside.
  • Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. (Makes about 3-4 dozen cookies)
  • Once cookies are cool, melt chocolate wafers in microwave or by heating up in a small pot on low heat stirring constantly.
  • Once all melted, dip half the cookie in the melted white chocolate, add Christmas sprinkles and let set on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Serve once set.

2 3/4 cups Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
2 tsps McCormick® Cream of Tartar
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups sugar divided
1 cup Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
2 eggs
2 tbsps milk
2 tsps McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
1 tbsp McCormick® Cinnamon, Ground

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Set aside. Beat 1 1/2 cups of the sugar and shortening in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed.
  • Mix remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 2 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons Betty Crocker™ Decors green sugar
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. In small bowl, mix red sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons of the cinnamon; set aside. In another small bowl, mix green sugar and remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon; set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat sugar, shortening, butter and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
  • Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. Roll in sugar-cinnamon mixtures. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until centers are almost set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
