Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped green onion
3 tablespoons chopped coriander or 3 tablespoons parsley
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced gingerroot
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Steps:

In bowl, combine beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, coriander, hoisin sauce, garlic, gingerroot and egg; mix well. Make 4 to 5 burgers.
In small bowl whisk together water, hoisin sauce and sesame oil. Brush half of the sauce over top of burgers.
Place on greased grill and barbecue, or place on rack on baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes (at 450F)(or until no longer pink inside). Turn patties once and brush with remaining sauce.

I made this recipe up one night, when I was sick of the same old burgers. The garlic really adds a nice flavor and the liquid smoke adds a nice outdoor cooked taste even in the frying pan.

Ingredients

2 lbs ground sirloin
2 -3 garlic cloves, finely diced
1 teaspoon sea salt
4 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 medium onion, diced finely
sharp cheddar cheese (or any cheese that is desired)

Steps:

Mix all ingredients minus the cheese in a large mixing bowl.
Form patties with burger mixture.
Place on grill, or fry in a frying pan until desired cooking temperature is reached.
Add cheese and any desired condiments.
You are done!
