1 cup Blue Diamond Almondmilk / Cashewmilk Blend
1 banana, peeled and frozen
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup pasteurized liquid egg substitute
1 teaspoon rum flavoring
nutmeg

Steps:

  • In a blender, add milk, banana, protein powder, egg substitute, and rum flavoring.
  • Blend on high for 30 seconds, or until mixture is thoroughly combined.
  • Pour into serving glass, and top with a dash of nutmeg.

1 frozen banana
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp ground flax seed
2 tsp pudding mix
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup Eggnog

Steps:

  • Add ice, banana, protein powder, flax seed, pudding mix and nutmeg to a blender.
  • Pour your eggnog over ingredients into blender.
  • Blend for 3-5 minutes until smooth & creamy
  • Optional (but encouraged!) top with additional nutmeg!
  • Enjoy!

I LOVE THIS. Okay, I thought this up a few nights ago when I wanted a banana smoothie but didn't have any milk in the fridge. I used regular (not low fat) egg nog from the store since it's what I had, but I'm sure the light kind would be just as good. I know fruit smoothies are usually a little healthier than this, but I think its perfect for brunch during the holidays! (Tip: Peel and break the bananas up before freezing them) Also, the store bought variety of egg nog keeps you from having to spice it yourself.
