HIBISCUS GIN-AND-TONIC

Steps:
- Bring the hibiscus flowers, sugar and 1/2 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl and refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Strain the hibiscus syrup into a liquid measuring cup, reserving some of the flowers for garnish. Combine the gin, lemon juice and 1/4 cup of the hibiscus syrup in a small pitcher. Stir in the tonic. Add more hibiscus syrup to taste.
- Fill 4 glasses with ice. Pour in the cocktail and garnish with the reserved hibiscus flowers.
CRANBERRY VODKA TONICS

- Combine the cranberries and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the vanilla extract or split vanilla bean and cook, stirring, until the cranberries burst, 5 to 6 minutes.
- Divide the cranberry mixture between 2 large mason jars. Divide the vodka between the jars. Cover and refrigerate for 1 week. Strain out the cranberries. Store the flavored vodka in a clean jar in the refrigerator.
- For each drink, pour 2 ounces cranberry vodka over ice in a tall glass; top with tonic. Garnish with a slice of lime.
VODKA TONIC

- Gather the ingredients.
- In a highball glass filled with ice, pour the vodka and lime juice.
- Fill with tonic and stir .
- Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve and enjoy.

- Gather the ingredients.
- Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of hibiscus tea. Let steep for 10 minutes.
- Take the teabag out and add 1 cup of superfine (not powdered) sugar. Stir until all the sugar dissolves.
- Keep refrigerated until ready to use.
- Gather the ingredients.
- Pour vodka and other ingredients into a mixing glass.
- Add ice and shake vigorously for 7 to 8 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a hibiscus flower or edible orchid.

- In a medium saucepan, combine the water, hibiscus flowers, and sugar over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool for 25 minutes. Add the lemon juice, lime juice, and vodka.
- Place the ice in a tall pitcher. Strain the hibiscus tea into the pitcher and discard the flowers. Refrigerate until ready to use.
