Heavenly Lime Salad Food

RAINBOW FRUIT SALAD WITH GINGER LIME DRESSING

Steps:

• In a large serving bowl, combine all fruit. Set aside.
• Make the dressing: In a small saucepan, bring sugar, lime juice, and ginger to a simmer until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
• Pour cooled dressing over fruit salad and toss to combine. Chill salad until ready to serve. Enjoy!

HEAVENLY LIME SALAD

Steps:

• In a small saucepan, dissolve lime gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Remove from heat and add 3/4 cup of reserved pineapple juice. Cool to room temperature.
• Add mayonnaise to gelatin mixture and whisk together until smooth. Refrigerate until slightly thickened.
• Fold in the pineapple, Cheddar cheese and pecans. Pour in 2 quart mold and chill until firm.

GELATIN HEAVENLY HASH (JELL-O BRAND)

Steps:

• Complete dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
• Combine cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups.
• Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
• Remove any unmelted ice.
• Add whipped topping, blending until smooth.
• Stir in pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows, and nuts.
• Pour into serving bowl or individual dessert dishes.
• Chill until set, about 2 hours.
• Garnish with additional fruits and mint leaves, if desired.

HEAVENLY CUCUMBER SALAD

Steps:

• Add the salt to the cucumbers and let them stand in a large bowl.
• After 30 minutes the juice will have drained from the cucumbers.
• Drain the juice from the bowl.
• Rub a second large bowl with the garlic halves. (optional).
• In the second bowl mix the oil, vinegar, water, and sugar.
• Add drained cucumbers and mix well.
• Sprinkle with pepper and paprika.
• Cover and chill for 30 minutes before serving.
• Enjoy.

HEAVENLY SALAD

Steps:

• Mix together egg yolks, sugar and vinegar.
• Cook in a double boiler until thick.
• Let mixture cool.
• Add other ingredients to mixture when cooled. Mix together and chill overnight.
• Add extra sugar and red food coloring to add a light color if desired.

Steps:

• Dissolve the gelatin in 2 cups boiling water in large mixing bowl.
• Mash cream cheese in small bowl; add hot gelatin mixture and stir until dissolved.
• Melt marshmallows in 1/4 cup boiling water in top of double boiler and add gelatin mixture. Add 1 1/2 cups cold water; add whipped cream and beat mixture until it is smooth. Add pineapple and, if desired, nuts. Pour into greased mold, large baking dish, or individual molds and chill until set.
