HAWAIIAN SPAMWICH
A little taste of the Islands. I came up with this recipe while DH and I were discussing our favorite McDonalds breakfast, Spam, Eggs and Rice.(Available at Hawaian locations) Why not a breakfast sandwich with Spam and Pineapple? They're great anytime. Spice them up with extra hot sauce or add a chopped, seeded Jalapeno pepper to the pineapple relish. If you can get a Sweet Maui Onion that's mo bettah !!!

HAWAIIAN DELI SANDWICHES
"When our four kids were in sports, we were often on the road for meals," relates Tammy Blomquist from Taylorville, Illinois. "These easy sandwiches can be made ahead of time, and they travel well. They're great for potlucks and entertaining, too." TIP: To feed a crowd, Tammy usually increases this recipe and starts with a dozen rolls instead of four.

BAKED HAWAIIAN SANDWICHES
These sandwiches are quick, easy, and always a hit. They can be served at receptions, baby showers, Bible studies, or tailgate parties! I have made large quantities and they have always turned out. Sandwiches can be made up in advance and stored in refrigerator until ready to bake. Try them and enjoy!

5 DELICIOUS SPAM RECIPES - THE HAWAII PLAN
From thehawaiiplan.com
Reviews 16Published 2012-10-24Estimated Reading Time 7 mins
- Spam Musubi. One does not mention Spam recipes without mentioning the king of them all: the Spam musubi! Spam musubis make a great snack and can be found at almost all convenience stores in Hawaii.
- Spam Fried Rice. My favorite Spam recipe is fried rice. I love my fried rice recipe, which is based on Chinese-style fried rice and all my friends compliment it whenever I cook it for them.
- The Hot Hawaiian Breakfast: Spam, eggs, and rice. Spam, eggs, and rice is what I like to call “The Hot Hawaiian Breakfast.” This recipe is just a local interpretation of the sausage, egg, and hash brown breakfast that is popular on the mainland.
- Budae Jjigae, or “Army Base Stew” I worked in South Korea for 2 years and ate many great dishes there (most of which are waaaay too spicy for a guy raised in Hawaii).
- The Spamwich. Because of it’s rectangular-size and because it’s so easy to slice, SPAM can easily be used for a sandwich. You can make whatever type of sandwich you want with SPAM, but I highly recommend that you cook your SPAM first.
20 HAWAIʻI DISHES YOU MUST TRY WHEN TRAVELING TO THE ISLANDS
From hawaiimagazine.com
- Hawaiian Plate. It doesn’t matter if you find it at a restaurant, lunch wagon or somebody’s house; when in Hawaii, you have to do what the locals do: get a plate of Hawaiian food.
- All-Natural Shave Ice. Hawaii’s iconic frozen treat is now part of the Islands’ farm-to-table movement. It’s becoming easier to get a bowl of finely shaved ice over which housemade, all natural, locally sourced syrups are generously poured.
- Saimin. One of Hawaii’s most traditional local foods, saimin is an iteration of a Chinese egg-noodle soup that was developed during the Islands’ plantation era.
- The Coconut. Alan Wong has crafted everything you could want in a dessert with this one. Made with haupia sorbet, lilikoi (passionfruit) sauce from Hawaii Island and fresh, seasonal fruits, it’s the ideal combination of sweet and tangy.
- Taro Ko Farm Chips. If the best foods can be partially defined by how difficult they are to get, then Taro Ko Farm’s taro, uala (sweet potato) and potato chips are legit.
- Poke. Poke isn’t just a dish in Hawaii, it’s a way of life. The chunky, raw-fish salad makes appearances everywhere, from birthday paina (parties) to casual picnics spent at the beach.
- Luau Stew. Is there anything more emotional than a taste memory? For Hawaii locals, this dish likely conjures tutu‘s (grandma’s) home cooking and first birthday parties; for visitors, well, here’s your opportunity to make one.
- Strawberry Mochi. Chewy, gooey goodness. Mochi, the sweet Japanese rice cake, is in no short supply in Hawaii and comes in many diverse forms here—mochi ice cream, mochi balls with shave ice, butter mochi (another local-style classic you should hunt down)—but the strawberry mochi hailing from Two Ladies Kitchen in Hilo on Hawaii Island is considered a perennial favorite.
- The Mix Plate at Rainbow Drive-In. You can’t visit Hawaii without skipping your no-carb diet at least once and filling up on a plate lunch. Two scoops rice, one scoop macaroni salad, and three kinds of meat (barbecue beef, mahimahi and boneless chicken).
- Cow Pig Bun Burgers. Almost every restaurant has a hamburger on its menu, but there’s only one that causes your mouth to salivate as soon as the plane touches down.
