- Place kielbasa in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Combine the chili sauce, pineapple and brown sugar; pour over kielbasa. Cover and cook on low until heated through, 3-4 hours. Serve on buns. If desired, top with green onions.

- Place sausage in a 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker. Drain pineapple, reserving 3/4 cup juice; set pineapple aside. In a small bowl, whisk the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and vinegar. Stir in soda and reserved pineapple juice. Pour mixture over sausage; stir to coat. Cover and cook on low until heated through, 2-3 hours. , Stir in pineapple. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook until sauce is thickened, 30 minutes longer. Serve with toothpicks.

KIELBASA SANDWICHES
These kielbasa sandwiches are so loaded with flavor with the cheesy sauerkraut, onion and beer topping, crisp pickles and homemade pretzel buns!

- First, boil the kielbasa. Fill a large skillet with deep sides with water and bring it to a boil. Quarter the kielbasa ring and cook it in the boiling water for 30 minutes. Remove them to a cutting board when they are done and drain the water. Put the pan back on the heat and pour the sauerkraut in with its liquid. Let it heat up, then add the onion and two mustards. Season the mixture with the pinch of salt, then pour in the beer. Let the mixture cook for 3-5 minutes, until the liquid is pretty much gone. Stir in the cheddar cheese until it is melted, then take the pan off of the heat. Meanwhile, lightly toast the pretzel buns.
- Time to assemble! Cut each quarter of kielbasa in half horizontally to have 8 equal pieces. Then cut each of the pieces in half lengthwise to have a flat side to put on the sandwich. You'll have 16 pieces total. Place two pieces of kielbasa flat side down on the bottom bun, then spoon a generous scoop of the sauerkraut mixture on the kielbasa. Top that with 2 sandwich stacker pickles, then close the sandwich. Repeat until they are all assembled and serve immediately! They are so perfect for the big game.

GRILLED KIELBASA SANDWICHES

- Set grill to medium heat.
- In a blender or food processor blend the olive oil with the next 7 ingredients until emulsified; toss the lettuce leaves with about HALF of the vinaigrette and reserve the remainder to brush on the buns.
- Grill tops and bottoms of the buns on a lightly oiled grill rack (about 2 minutes per side; transfer cut-sides up to a platter or plate.
- Brush the cut sides of the top halves with remaining vinaigrette.
- On the bottom halves divide/mound the coated lettuce leaves.
- Cut the kielbasa sausage crosswise into 4 long sections, then half each section lenghwise (you may trim off the outside skin before grilling if desired).
- Grill the sausage slices on a lightly oiled grill rack about 3-4 minutes turning over once during cooking.
- Arrange 2 pieces of grilled sausage over the lettuce (2 pieces per sandwich) then top with sliced tomatoes (season the tomatoes with salt and pepper).
- Cover with top half of the rolls.
- Delicious!

I made this up one day when I couldn't find a recipe anywhere with these ingredients. So I kind of threw it together on a whim. Sugar can be adjusted for sweetness, and if the sauce gets a bit thicker than desired I suggest adding a little chicken broth as it's thickening. Serve immediately over rice.

I did some playing and decided that depending on your baked beans, you probably don't need all that sugar (especially if feeding this to the kids. Too much will give them a high they may never come down off of!) Give this dish a try for something different and delicious! It's also easy-it's made in a crock pot! - Mix together your mustard and jelly until well combine. Your condiment is now ready. In a cast iron skillet, brown up the kielbasa. Once slightly darkened around edges, remove from the pan and set aside. Preheat broiler. In the same pan, add your sweet onions and grill up until just beginning to brown and soften. Add sauerkraut to the pan with the onions and cook together about 8 minutes, until most juices evaporate. Slice your rolls and scoop out a bit of the inside bread if desired. Next, assemble the sandwiches (in a pan preferably with sides if making many). First, spread some of the mustard/jelly condiment on the bottom. Next, pile on some kielbasa rounds (about 8 Don't Skimp!) then the onion/sauerkraut mixture and then top with a good slice of Gruyere Cheese. Place the pan under the broiler - along with the top of the rolls (facing inside up) to slightly crisp its edges Once cheese has melted, remove from the oven. PAY ATTENTION WHEN IN BROILER. Spread some more mustard/jelly condiment on the inside top of the roll and close the sandwich.
