Try our Grilled Tilapia with Chimichurri Mayo! The mayo keeps the fish moist on the grill and makes a delicious garlicky chimichurri dipping sauce.

1/3 cup KRAFT Mayo with Olive Oil Reduced Fat Mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 cup fresh parsley
1/3 cup chopped onions
2 cloves garlic
2 Tbsp. fresh oregano
8 tilapia fillets (2 lb.)
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium heat.
  • Blend first 6 ingredients in blender until blended. Reserve half the mayo mixture; brush both sides of fish with remaining mayo mixture.
  • Grill 3 min. on each side or until fish flakes easily with fork.
  • Top with cheese. Serve with reserved mayo mixture.

This delicious mayo sauce makes for an incredible tilapia dinner! This is from the Comida y Familia mini-cookbook from Kraft Foods, but I have added some directions in for things that I changed.

1/3 cup low-fat mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup diced onion
1 cup fresh parsley
2 tablespoons fresh oregano
2 garlic cloves
8 tilapia fillets (2 lbs) or 8 any other mild white fish (2 lbs)
2 tablespoons Kraft® Grated Parmesan Cheese

Steps:

  • Put heavy-duty aluminum foil on grill and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Heat grill to medium heat.
  • Blend first 6 ingredients in blender until well blended. Reserve half the mayo mixture; brush both sides of fish with remaining mayo mixture.
  • Grill 3 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with fork. (I found it took more like 6-10 minutes, but I moved the fish up one shelf, about 5 or 6 inches from the flame.).
  • Top with cheese. Serve with reserved mayo mixture.

Easy, flavorful tilapia grilled over flames!

⅓ cup olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground cumin, or to taste
1 teaspoon paprika, or to taste
1 teaspoon dried mustard, or to taste
garlic powder, or to taste
4 (4 ounce) fillets tilapia
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Mix olive oil, lemon pepper, cumin, paprika, dried mustard, and garlic powder together in a small bowl. Brush each tilapia fillet with mixture using a pastry brush. Flip; brush the other side. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Spray a large piece of foil with cooking spray and place on the grill. Transfer tilapia onto the foil.
  • Cook fillets on the preheated grill until they're easily flaked with a fork, about 5 minutes per side. Serve.

1/2 yellow onion, sliced
2 lbs tilapia fillets (frozen)
1/8 teaspoon salt, to taste
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon dill weed
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Turn your grill on.
  • Oil a fish/vegetable pan for the grill -- one of those things that has all the holes in it.
  • Spread out all the sliced onion on the grill pan.
  • Place Tilapia fillets on top of the onions.
  • Butter the fillets with mayo.
  • Sprinkle with dill weed. You can go somewhat heavy with this. Like Christmas cookies.
  • Sprinkle with black pepper.
  • Sprinkle with paprika.
  • Put pan on the grill. 10-15 minutes. Onions should be a little caramalized/charred.
  • Serve with rice pilaf and grilled asparagus.

  • To prepare the fish for the grill, lightly grease the foil. Wash the fish and place each fish on a square of heavy duty aluminum foil. Season cavity and sides of fish with the Seafood seasoning of your choice, or Lemon Pepper seasoning. Dot with butter and put lemon slices in cavity. Seal aluminum foil around fish. Grill over a med-high heat for approximately 25 minutes - or until done. After 20 minutes or so check the fish to see if it is flaky and tender. Open up the foil packets to check each one.
  • For the sauce: In a small serving dish combine the parsley, garlic, salt, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Mix well. Serve this over the fish, or on the side.
