2 packages (3 ounces each) lime gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 quart lime sherbet
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Beat in sherbet until melted. Add whipped topping; beat well. , Pour into an 8-cup ring mold coated with cooking spray. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. Unmold onto a serving platter.

This sherbet is so easy to make and is always a hit. I got the recipe out of Taste of Home. I always take this recipe when going to an ice cream party. It give everyone a choice that they weren't expecting. The cook time is actually freezer time and will vary according to the type freezer you use. Ingredients

1 (3 ounce) package lime gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 dash salt
1 quart milk
1 pint half-and-half cream
8 drops green food coloring (optional)

Steps:

In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in water.
Add sugar, limeade and salt; mix until sugar is dissolved.
Add remaining ingredients; blend well.
Freeze in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's directions.

1 package (3 ounces) lime gelatin or flavor of your choice
1 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1-1/2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
4 cups cold whole milk

Steps:

In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water. Add lemon juice and zest. Whisk in milk. Pour into an ungreased 9-in. square pan. Cover and freeze for 2 hours., Transfer to a large bowl; beat for 2 minutes. Return to pan. Cover and freeze for 1 hour; stir. , Freeze 1 hour longer or until firm. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Scoop lime sherbet into a punch bowl; pour in ginger ale and pineapple juice. Stir well.
Stir in maraschino cherries and float lemon and lime slices in the punch.

1 pkg lime jello
1 c boiling water
2 small lemons
1 1/2 c sugar
1 qt milk

Steps:

1. Juice lemons and grate the rinds
2. Beat all ingredients thoroughly and put in a freezer safe container. Put in freezer. After 1 hour beat again then freeze thoroughly.

This is an old recipe of my mothers, though I am not sure where it originated. I am not a fan of lime or even marshmallows really, but this stuff is dee-lish! I always serve it with Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinner. When I cook birthday dinners for family, it is requested then as well.

Ingredients

2 (3 ounce) packages lime Jell-O gelatin
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (cut into small pieces)
50 -60 small marshmallows
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

Pour lime jello in a 9x13 pyrex dish.
Add 3 cups boiling water and stir until dissolved.
While jello is still hot, stir in marshmallows and cream cheese pieces.
CHILL FOR ONE HOUR.
Whip cream until stiff.
Drain pineapple.
Remove jello from fridge, fold in pineapple, walnuts and whipped cream until well blended.
Chill for 3-6 hours or overnight.

1 cup water
2 (3 ounce) packages orange Jell-O
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip Lite
1 pint Orange sherbet

Steps:

Boil water.
Remove from heat.
Add orange jello and stir until dissolved.
Set aside and let cool.
Mix Cool Whip and Orange Sherbet.
Add Jello to Cool Whip and Orange Sherbet and mix thoroughly.
Refrigerate for 4 hours to set.

1 3 oz. package raspberry, orange, lemon, lime or strawberry jello
1 cup boiling water
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 cups half & half
pinch of salt
2 tb. lemon juice
1 tsp. extract matching your jello flavor, raspberry, orange, lemon, lime, strawberry
OPTIONAL
mix in by hand after using electric mixer: grated orange, lemon or lime peel, a handful of chopped raspberries or strawberries, etc. have fun creating your own combinations.

Steps:

1. Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Then, add sugar and stir for one minute. Add the rest of the ingredients mixing thoroughly.
2. Cover and place in freezer until frozen 1/2 inch thick. (In my freezer, this takes about 5 hours.) Then, beat thoroughly with an electric mixer and return to the freezer, covered, overnight until set.
3. I used raspberry Jello and raspberry extract. You can make any flavor you wish, orange, lemon, lime, strawberry... just match the extract to the Jello flavor.
4. So smooth and creamy. Scoops beautifully for cones or dishes.
