Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and lightly flour 10 inch bundt pan.
- In large bowl cream sugar and butter, add vanilla and eggs.
- Mix well.
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off.
- Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
- Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
- In small bowl combine remaining ingredients, mix well.
- Spread half of batter in prepared pan; sprinkle with half of brown sugar mixture.
- Repeat with remaining batter and sugar mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

This is another of our "southern" favorites. Grandma used to make this, we'd eat it warm with a little butter on top

Steps:
- Mix oil, buttermilk, egg and vanilla.
- Add flour, sugar, soda, cocoa and salt.
- Mix all together well and add coffee.
- Pour into lightly greased and floured 8X13X2 sheet pan (I have made it in a bundt pan too).
- bake 350F degrees for 30 minutes.

NANA LENA'S SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE
Moist, Dense, luscious coffee cake. Nana used to let me add chcoclate chips when we'd make it. My brother preferred the original cinnamon sugar filling, instead. Mmmmm I miss her!

Steps:
- Cream shortening and sugar together.
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
- Add eggs to creamed mixture, one at a time, continuing to mix, on low speed.
- Alternate adding the Sour Cream and Flour to the mixture.
- Add Vanilla, and chocolate chips OR Cinnamon sugar mixture; stir well.
- Nana made this in a bundt pan, greased and floured (or non-stick).
- Bake at 350f for 45 mins to an hour. Done when toothpick inserted comes out clean.

SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE
Another one of my grandmother's wonderful recipes. She seemed to always have this ready to serve whenever company came calling.

Steps:
- Combine pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon; stir well, and set aside.
- Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy.
- Add eggs; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and soda; add to creamed mixture alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
- Spoon half of batter into a greased a floured 10-inch Bundt-pan; sprinkle half of pecan mixture over batter.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until cake tests done.
- Cool 5 minutes in pan on a wire rack.
- Invert onto serving plate.
- Let cool.
- Drizzle with glaze.
- Store overnight in airtight container.
- Powdered Sugar Glaze: combine all ingredients; stir well.
- **Addmore water if necessary to reach desired consistency.
