Steps:
- In a small shallow bowl or rimmed saucer combine the lime zest and salt and mix well. Run the lime slice around the rim of a stemmed, wide mouthed glass to moisten it, then turn the glass upside down and press the rim in the salt mixture. Set glass aside.
- In a cocktail shaker combine all remaining ingredients and shake well to chill. Strain into the prepared glass and serve immediately.

- Combine the first 5 ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake vigorously.
- Strain into a glass.
- **To serve frozen, add first 5 ingredients to a blender with 3/4 cup crushed ice and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a chilled margarita glass; garnish with lime wedge.
GOLDEN MARGARITA
Steps:
- Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the tequila, liqueur, lime juice, Simple Syrup and egg whites. Shake for 8 to 10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
- Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.) Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

- Gather the ingredients.
- If you like, rim a chilled margarita glass with salt: Wet the rim with a lime wedge then roll it in a shallow dish of coarse salt.
