People go CRAZY for this Christmas Crack recipe! Made with 5 simple ingredients in less than 30 minutes, they're a perfect quick and easy holiday treat!

1 package honey graham crackers
14 ounces Hershey's chocolate bars ((I use two large 7 oz bars))
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a 9x13'' pan with parchment paper (or spray with cooking spray.)
  • Place graham cracker sheets along the bottom of the pan.
  • Add butter to a large saucepan over medium heat and allow it to melt. Add the brown sugar and pecans, and stir constantly, bringing the mixture to a full boil.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and pour mixture over graham crackers and spread into an even layer.
  • Bake for 7 minutes.
  • While the bars are baking, unwrap the Hershey's chocolate bars and break them into pieces.
  • Remove bars from oven and carefully place chocolate pieces across the top of the toffee layer. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil to allow the chocolate to melt (5-10 minutes).
  • Once chocolate has begun to melt, remove the lid and use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly over the bars.
  • Allow to cool completely before serving. I like to store mine in the fridge to set up (not required) but I leave them out at room temperature for 15 minutes before cutting them, to allow the chocolate to soften.

Betty Crocker™ red gel food color
1 1/4 cups vanilla frosting (from 16-oz. can)
12 (2 1/2-inch-square) graham crackers
1 cup (about 75) miniature marshmallows, halved crosswise
6 small red gumdrops, halved crosswise
24 Betty Crocker™ red cinnamon decors

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. In small bowl, stir 1/4 teaspoon red food color into 1/4 cup of the frosting; blend well. In separate bowl, stir 1 small amount red food color into remaining 1 cup frosting; blend well.
  • For each cookie, frost 1 inch of one corner of cracker with dark red frosting for Santa's hat. Place 1 marshmallow piece in corner for pom-pom.
  • Frost remainder of cracker with pink frosting. Place marshmallow pieces on pink frosting around 2 sides for beard. Add gumdrop for nose and cinnamon candies for eyes. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.

SANTA'S SLEIGH FAVORS

Graham crackers
White royal icing
Red royal icing
Chewy fruit candy squares (recommended: Starbursts)
Sugar wafers
Red fruit sheets (recommended: Fruit Roll-ups)
Miniature bear-shaped cookies (recommended: Teddy Grahams)
Twisted red candy sticks (recommended: Twizzlers)
Candy canes
Shredded coconut
Chocolate Santa, foil wrapped

Steps:

  • Sleigh bottom #1: Coat 1 side of a graham cracker cookie completely with white royal icing. Place 2 candy canes on top, keeping the hooks pointing upward, holding them in place for a few seconds to let set. Sprinkle coconut over the whole cracker and candy canes and set aside to let dry.
  • Sleigh bottom #2: Coat 1 side of another graham cracker completely with red royal icing and set aside to dry.
  • Presents: Pipe ribbons with white royal icing on fruit candies. Set aside to let dry.
  • Santa's seat: Take 2 sugar wafer bars (attached) and completely wrap with a fruit roll-up. Take another pair of wafers and do the same. Place seam side down to keep from them unfolding. Set aside.
  • To assemble: Pipe a thin line of white royal icing over the length of the candy canes that are attached to sleigh bottom #1. Place sleigh bottom #2 (red graham cracker) on top of candy canes (red side up)and hold for a few seconds to let set. Make a seat out of the fruit rollup covered sugar wafers by making an "L" shape on top of red cracker. Use 1 as the seat and the other as the back of the seat.
  • On 1 side of the seat stack a few candy gifts and on the other side, place the chocolate Santa. Spread out 1 fruit rollup and place a few gifts in the middle and make a pouch, tying the ends of the rollup together with a twizzler, like a beggar's purse. Place gift pouch behind Santa's seat.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole-wheat pastry flour (graham flour)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
4 ounces unsalted butter (1 stick), at room temperature
3 tablespoons light-brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Sift together the flours, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, and set aside.
  • In a food processor or by hand, cream the butter and sugars together. Add honey and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients, and process or beat until a dough is formed.
  • Form dough into a rectangle and roll it very thin between two sheets of wax paper, to about 6 by 12 inches. Then freeze until firm, about 20 minutes.
  • Remove top layer of wax paper and cut dough into 36 2-inch squares. Place squares close together on a baking sheet. Prick centers with tines of a fork. If necessary, re-roll, chill, and cut any scraps.
  • Bake cookies 15 minutes, until they just begin to color. Leave them on the baking sheet 10 minutes; then, transfer to racks to cool before using.

The kids and I made these for my son's Christmas party. They take a littlw while to make but they are so cute and the kids loved them.

- container of vanilla icing
- graham crackers
- mini marshmallows
- red food coloring
- red spice drops
- red hot candies

Steps:

  • Take icing and divide into 2/3 and 1/3. You will add a couple of drops to the larger portion of icing. You want it to be flesh colored. Then for the smaller bowl of icing you will want to add enough red food coloring to be a nice red color for the hat.
  • You will take the graham crackers to be into 2 crackers so they are square (not retangle). You will ice with the light colored leaving a corner for the red.
  • Then add the mini marshmallows for the beard, and one for the top of his hat. Add the red hots for the eyes, and use the spice drops for the nose I cut them in half). These are great!
