I recommend it for all ages and also as a kid-friendly recipe. ** I have made changes to this recipe to make it easier to follow....I apologize for any confusion! Let me know if it happens again!

- OR --
- Oven method: Pour mixture into a large cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

14 HEALTHY GRANOLA BRANDS - BEST PACKAGED GRANOLAS
From womenshealthmag.com
Author Isadora BaumPublished 2019-04-22Estimated Reading Time 5 mins
- Super Simple Sprouted Granola. Go Raw amazon.com. “What I like about Go Raw granola is its simplicity and healthy high quality ingredients," says Moon. " This variety contains organic sprouted buckwheat groats and organic sprouted flaxseed, and that's it.
- Grain-Free Granola. Wildway amazon.com. “I like this as a snacking granola because it satisfies on both the sweet and savory front, but does it naturally through dried fruit, roasted nuts, and flavorful spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla bean," says Moon. "
- Old Country Style Muesli. Bob's Red Mill target.com. "Muesli is minimally processed, meaning it doesn't contain many of the oils and sugars added to many granola varieties, which inevitably ends up with the final product typically lower in total fat, sodium, and sugars than a granola,” says Elizabeth Shaw, RDN, nutrition expert.
- Grain Free Granola Bites. Lark Ellen Farm amazon.com. “Nutritionally, it's one of my favorites because it tastes FANTASTIC and it is made without any added sugar,” says Shaw.
- Chocolate Sea Salt + Peanut Butter Nut Butter Granola. Purely Elizabeth amazon.com. “This comes in yummy flavors, like Blueberry Hemp and Chocolate Peanut Butter.
- Original Gluten Free Granola. Vikis Granola amazon.com. “This granola is 100 percent gluten-free, tasty, and comes in 1.5-ounce travel packs. The original has just a few simple ingredients that you would already find in your cupboard,” says Rizzo.
- Fit V'Nilla Almond Granola. Bear Naked amazon.com. “While I’m not super keen that two of the first three ingredients are a form of sugar, the total sugar per serving is relatively small, meaning a minute amount of each sugar is likely used,” says Shaw.
- Grain-Free, Non-GMO Granola. Paleonola amazon.com. Thick granola clusters give you that indulgent feel with this granola, but you're actually making a super-smart, nutritious choice thanks to the health benefits from nuts and seeds.
- Chewy Gluten-Free Granola. Within / Without amazon.com. Granola ingredients don't get much better than this, says Michalczyk. “It's completely refined sugar-free and paleo, plus it's made with only seven ingredients,” she says.
- Healthy Grains Granola Clusters. KIND amazon.com. “High in fiber, this granola will work to keep you fuller for longer when you eat it as a snack. I love that it is extra crunchy too,” says Michalcyzk.

- Bean dip with veggies. You can easily turn canned beans in a can (such as kidney beans, navy beans, and chickpeas, also called garbanzo beans), into an inexpensive, protein-packed snack.
- Oatmeal. Who says oatmeal is only for breakfast? Oats are very high in soluble fiber, which is a must-have for people with diabetes and heart disease, Grotto says.
- Nonfat Greek yogurt. It's rich in protein, which helps you feel full longer. “Depending on your choice of Greek yogurt, a serving (one small container, which is typically 5.3 ounces) can contain between 12 and 24 grams of protein,” Culbertson says.
- Low-fat string cheese stick and fresh fruit. Short on time? Then grab this easy go-to snack. It's a good source of calcium and vitamin C, and it gives you 8 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber, Culbertson says.
- Pistachios. Pistachios are one of Grotto’s favorites, because they’re low in carbohydrates and rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, which can lower bad cholesterol levels.

- In a medium bowl, combine the oats, walnuts, coconut flakes, if using, cinnamon, and salt. Drizzle in the coconut oil and maple syrup and add the almond butter. Stir until combined. Scoop the granola onto the baking sheet and press the mixture into a 1-inch-thick oval. This will encourage clumping.
- Bake for 15 minutes, rotate the pan halfway, and use a fork to gently break the granola apart just a bit. Bake for 15 minutes more, or until golden brown. Sprinkle with dried cranberries, if desired. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.

GREATEST SNACKS OF ALL TIME - THRILLIST
From thrillist.com
- Doritos. There are more than 15 different flavors of Doritos on shelves at any given time, all with their own virtues (except Bacon Cheddar Ranch). But with respect to Cool Ranch (I know I'm an outlier in my ambivalence toward ranch everything), there's only one flavor that truly matters, and that flavor is Nacho Cheese, the single greatest mass-produced snack in America.
- Oreos. The good people at Oreo have really stepped up the innovation in recent years, debuting new limited-edition flavors at a torrid pace that send food internet sites such as this one into a tizzy.
- Pringles. One of my earliest memories was staring at dozens of cans of Pringles. Not because my parents fed me the way I fed myself in college, but because my extremely frugal, GM-working grandfather used to save cans of his signature flavor -- plain, lightly salted -- in order to keep basically every nail, screw, and bolt he ever used in his garage.
- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Speaking of the original version usually being superior: Reese's Cups! There are those who obsess over the higher peanut butter quotient of the springtime treat that is the Reese's Egg.
- Goldfish. It should be obvious by now that nutritional virtuousness was in no way factored into performance on this list, and yet here Goldfish are in the top five.
- Cheetos. No, not the puffs, though if that's your fancy we can go ahead and shake neon-orange-fingered hands and agree that you're a freak (we can bond over Paws, though).
- M&M's. The M&M candy shell is arguably the most important engineering achievement in confectionary history, allowing for the hands-on, mess-free snackability and pleasing crunch of so many savory snacks combined with the flavor of, you know, chocolate.
- Cheez-Its. A year or two back Cheez-Its rolled out an "Extra Toasty" variety and they were a revelation, not only in their own right, but in how they made me see a food that had always been near the top of my snack list in an entirely new light.
- Haribo gummies. So, there are many fine varieties of gummy candy given to us by the good German folks at Haribo, but we're mostly going to discuss the bears here, because come on.
- Fritos. When I think of the original Fritos flavor, it seems pretty unremarkable. Salt. Corn. Oil. Then I realize I've eaten an entire bag of them while thinking about it.
