GARLIC PARMESAN ORZO RECIPE
This creamy Garlic Parmesan Orzo is a quick and easy one-pot side dish that goes well with just about anything. It's made with orzo pasta, fresh spinach, garlic and Parmesan cheese and finished with a little splash of cream.

Steps:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and melt. Once melted, add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally until garlic is fragrant and lightly golden brown. Add the chicken broth, spinach, Parmesan cheese, salt and orzo pasta, stir lightly and cover with a lid.
- Reduce heat to low and cook the pasta at a low simmer, stirring every 2-3 minutes. Cook the orzo until the cheese is melted, there is no more liquid and the pasta has cooked to al dente, or about 8-9 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cream (if desired), then cover with a lid for 2-3 more minutes. This will allow the pasta to soak up the rest of the liquid. To finish, top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fresh minced parsley and serve warm. Enjoy!

- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook orzo in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Drain.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir garlic in melted butter until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Stir orzo into garlic mixture and mix in Parmesan cheese, milk, parsley, salt, and black pepper.

ORZO WITH HERBS

- Cook 2 cups orzo in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain. Chop 6 scallions; cook just the white parts in a skillet with olive oil until tender, about 2 minutes. Stir in the orzo, 2 cups chicken broth, the scallion greens and a handful each of chopped parsley and dill; season with salt and pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup grated parmesan.

- In a large skillet add the olive oil, butter and cook for about 30 seconds until the butter melts. Stir in the onion and garlic and let it cook for about 2 minutes until the onion softens and the garlic becomes aromatic.
- Add the orzo to the skillet and let it cook for about 2 minutes just in the oil so that it starts to toast lightly, this will give it a nutty flavor.
- Season with salt and pepper then stir in the chicken broth and half and half. Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down to a medium-low, cover with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove the lid and stir in the Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately.

Add the orzo and white wine and cook until the wine is absorbed, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the chicken broth, some salt and pepper and 2 cups water and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring often, until the orzo is tender and cooked through, about 20 minutes.
- Stir in the arugula, Parmesan and butter and serve.

- In a large nonstick skillet heat oil over medium-high. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, being careful not to burn.
- Add orzo and rice; cook 4-6 minutes longer or until lightly browned.
