GAME DAY GLAZED MEATBALLS
There are many recipes for meatball appetizers, perhaps because they are so easy prepare and keep well in a slow cooker. I found this version in our local newspaper -- the combination of currant jelly and barbecue sauce sounds yummy! If served as an appetizer, it will make 16 servings at 2 meatballs each; if serving as an entree, it will make 4-5 servings.

Steps:
- Combine jelly and barbecue sauce in a large saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until jelly melts.
- Add meatballs. Heat over medium-low heat 20 minutes, or until meatballs are hot and glazed, stirring occasionally. Serve in a slow cooker set on low, if desired.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and set a wire baking rack on the baking sheet.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, Cheddar cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Using your hands, form into 36 3/4-ounce meatballs (about 1 inch wide) and place on the baking rack.
- Remove meatballs from the oven. Replace baking sheet lining with clean aluminum foil and carefully transfer meatballs from the baking rack to the baking sheet. Warning– they’ll be hot! Cover with barbecue sauce and bake for an additional 7 minutes in the preheated oven until sauce is thick and meatballs are cooked through.
