Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, allspice, and salt together in a large bowl. Place bread slices in egg mixture and soak, turning to coat, until bread is completely saturated.
- Melt butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, cook bread in hot butter until golden, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer toasted bread to a baking sheet.
- Bake toast in the oven until outside is crisp and slightly puffed, 12 to 15 minutes.

Steps:
- Preheat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium-low heat.
- Whisk eggs in a large, shallow dish. Add the milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon; whisk well to combine.
- Lightly grease pan with a little butter or cooking oil, spreading evenly over the surface with a spatula.
- Working quickly, dip one slice of bread into the egg wash, allow to soak for 2-3 seconds; flip and dip the other side, soaking again for a further 2-3 seconds.
- Fry until golden browned on underside, (about 3 minutes), then flip and cook until golden browned, (about another 3-4 minutes). You can cook 2 toasts at a time, depending on the size of your pan.
- Repeat with remaining bread slices.
- Serve warm with desired toppings.

Steps:
- Combine the corn syrup , butter, and brown sugar in a small saucepan and simmer until the sugar has melted. Pour this mixture over the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
- Place the bread slices over the sugar-butter mixture in the dish. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt; pour this mixture over the bread. Cover the dish and let it stand in the refrigerator overnight.
- The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Uncover the pan and bake for 45 minutes. Serve while hot or warm or the French toast will harden in the pan. It can be reheated.

- Melt margarine in a 9 x 13 baking pan.
- Put 6 slices of bread in bottom of pan.
- In a bowl mix 1 cup brown sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of this sugar mixture over bread.
- Add another layer of 6 slices of bread.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk until well blended.
- Pour over bread layers.
- Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Bake covered at 350F 30 minutes.
- Uncover and continue baking 15 minutes or until set and browned.

Wow, are you in for a treat, this is so good. My friend introduced me to the Italian Dessert Bread/Cake, il Pandoro by Battistero. It is wonderful, so delicious, light and airy.When this lovely treat dried out, I made French toast with it. Steps:
- Add the eggs to a large bowl, then whisk until they are frothy.
- Now add the creamer, vanilla and salt, mixing well.
- Place a pan on medium/low heat and add the butter to the pan.
- Dip the bread into the egg mixture, making sure to soak both sides, the bread will absorbed all the egg.
- Cook in prepared pan for 4 - 6 minutes per side.
- Watch closely to keep bottom from burning.
- You may need to flip the bread more than once to get a lovely golden brown color.
- Check to make sure the french toast is completely cooked before removing from heat.
