CHINESE STYLE FRIED PORK CHOPS
Savory with just a hint of sweetness, this pork chop is one of my husband's favorites. It whips up in no time and served with a quickly stir-fried veggie and rice, it makes a complete meal in under 30 minutes.

Steps:
- Tenderize meat pork with a meat mallet. If you're short on time, pound to at least 1/4 inch thickness or thinner.
- Mix together all the ingredients except cornstarch and oil and pour over pork. Allow to marinate for 30 minutes. (I've marinated it as long as 1 day and as little as 10 minutes.).
- Just before frying, pour cornstarch on top of pork and stir into marinade.
- Heat enough oil in a large skillet to cover bottom. Place pork in pan when oil begins to shimmer. Cook pork chops over med-high heat until cooked through.

BARBECUE PORK CHOPS (GLUTEN FREE)
I love this pork chop recipe. This is my families favourite way to eat pork chops. These pork chops are so easy to make and the clean up is very easy as well. Although they do cook in the oven for alittle over an hour, its well worth the wait. These pork chops are great served with rice and a salad.

- Brown chops in 3 tablespoons oil in frying pan.
- Put chops in casserole dish.
- In medium sized bowl combine chopped onion, ketchup, water, vinegar, sugar, worcestershire sauce and salt.Stir.
- Pour over chops in casserole dish. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

SHANGHAI STYLE PORK CHOPS
This is a recipe I received from my husband when we got married. It had been given to him from his seminary days when he shared a house with a married couple. This was a recipe he actually prepared himself way back before I knew him. He has since happily given up all cooking responsibilities to me! I've tweaked the sauce just a bit - it has a nice, spicy flavor.

Steps:
- Mix the water, egg, flour and salt into a batter.
- Dip chops into batter and coat completely. Remove from batter and set aside.
- Mix all sauce ingredients.
- Pour oil into skillet. (I used about 4 T; the original recipe says "enough to cover chops" - I just didn't want to use that much).
- Put chops in hot oil, reduce flame and brown about 4 minutes, then turn over and brown on other side. Take chops out and drain.
- Over low flame, heat sauce in a large skillet, stirring about 2 minutes till thickened.
- Add chops and simmer about 5 minutes (till chops are cooked through.
- Good served with rice or noodles.

Steps:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown pork chops in oil for 5-6 minutes on each side.
- Remove and keep warm.
- In the drippings, saute onion and mushrooms until tender.
- Stir in the water, mustard and salt; bring to a boil.
- Return chops to pan.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until pork is tender.
- Remove chops and keep warm.
- Combine the flour and sour cream until smooth; add to skillet.
- Bring to a boil;cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Serve pork chops and mustard-mushroom sauce over egg noodles.
PORK CHOPS - SOUTHERN STYLE
Simple, quick and tasty. Something I threw together with the 'scraps' in my Fridge and surprised me with how great it tasted. Feel free to remove as much 'fat' from the pan as you need to... the more you leave, the better it tastes! Great with mashed potatoes!

- In 12" skillet, cook bacon on med hi heat. Remove bacon from skillet, but leave bacon drippings.
- Add 1 TBSP butter and diced onion. When transparent, remove from skillet.
- Reduce heat to medium, lightly salt and pepper both sides of pork chops and place in skillet. Brown both sides (approx 2-4 minutes each).
- Chop up bacon, and add both bacon and cooked onion to skillet.
- Add 3/4 cup water (add more if you want more gravy), 1 TBSP butter, cover and simmer until cooked (5-10 minutes - but can simmer for up to 45 minutes easily).
- Just before serving, mix 2 TBSP cornstarch with cool tap water (approx 1/4 cup).
- Place pork chops on plates, add corn starch/water mixture to gravy/drippings in skillet and bring to quick boil stirring frequently to form thick gravy.
