Not using food/materia disrespects other peoples time. And I’m willing to bet this particular player as never tried to heal savage. When you constantly have to stop and individually heal single players who take a hit and nearly die. This can still happen of course. But not using food and melding increases the likelihood of dying.

More than wiping on bosses, more than wild market fluctuations, trying to meld materia is completely up to random chance, and it sucks. It sucks a lot. This is not the "reported melding chances are a lie." They are. I frequently have 30+ failures at 10%, and 50+ failures at 7% IN A ROW.
