5-Minute Healthy Greek Frozen Yogurt image

Who says dessert can't be healthy? Blend your way to the ultimate recipe for 5-Minute Healthy Greek Frozen Yogurt!

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 cups frozen fruit
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 Tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • In the bowl of a food processor, combine the frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract and honey. Process the mixture until it is creamy, about 5 minutes. (See Kelly's Notes.)
  • Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and freeze it until ready to serve.

2 cups plain fat free Greek yogurt
8 ounces fat free cream cheese
10 ounces fresh strawberries
1/2 cup Splenda granular, sugar substitute
1/2 teaspoon stevia powder
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
  • Place in airtight containers and freeze to desired consistency!
  • NOTE: To enjoy this throughout the week, simply separate it into small airtight serving containers and freeze. Pull them out of the freezer to soften about 30 minutes before you are ready to serve, and enjoy!

2 cups fat-free plain yogurt
2 cups pureed fresh strawberries
1 can (14 ounces) fat-free sweetened condensed milk
1 cup fat-free milk
3 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to manufacturer's directions. (Refrigerate any remaining mixture until ready to freeze.) Transfer ice cream to freezer containers, allowing headspace for expansion. Freeze 2-4 hours or until firm. Repeat with any remaining ice cream mixture, Remove from the freezer 30-45 minutes before serving.

  • Line a large, mesh strainer with a double layer of paper towels, and place it over a large, deep mixing bowl. Add the yogurt, cover with plastic wrap, and let it strain the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, and ideally overnight. (Straining the liquid from the yogurt will help prevent your frozen yogurt from being too icy.)
  • Add the sugar, vanilla and ¼ cup of water to a small saucepan and place it over medium-low heat. Whisk it and and warm it just long enough to dissolve the sugar. Set aside to cool.
  • Remove the yogurt from the refrigerator. Discard the drained off liquid, and add the yogurt to a large mixing bowl. Whisk in the cocoa powder, followed by the dissolved sugar. If the sugar is still on the warm side, whisk very quickly. Fold in the cherries, cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least a couple of hours.
