ICE CUBES
I'm publishing this recipe because I'm sure that there are other families who have members, who don't know how or have forgotten how to make ice when the ice tray is empty.

Steps:
- Empty the ice cubes that are left in the trays (if there are any left) into the bin.
- Take the trays over to the sink and fill them with cold water. (Hot water will freeze faster and more clear).
- Place the water filled ice trays back in the freezer.
- Replace the ice bin if you had to remove it.
- Shut the door to the freezer.
- Be sure to leave for around 4-6 hours at least to make sure it is frozen.
- If you want to experiment, you can freeze things like fruit infused waters or juices.

HERBAL ICE CUBES
Freezing is a simple and excellent way to preserve fresh culinary herbs. Packing in ice cube trays makes it easy to always have fresh herbs on hand, adding fresh herb flavor to soups, sauces, and drinks. Some people prefer to freeze in a good quality olive oil, I prefer the boiling water method, which is listed in this recipe here today. You can freeze herbs individually or in combinations of other herbs.

Steps:
- Mince herb (s) of choice.
- Pack minced herb (s) into an ice cube tray, each 3/4 full.

- Once the herbal ice cubes are frozen, you can pop them out of their tray and into freezer bags for storage.
- Use as needed.
REFRESHING ICE CUBES
On a hot day, why drink water, when you can let ice cold water melt in your mouth? This also serves as a nice cooler for drinks of your choice.

FRUITY ICE CUBES
These ice cubes are fun to add to lemonade or other refreshing drinks. You could substitute any type of fruit, depending on what you have on hand. I like these in iced tea or lemonade. Prep time does not include freezing time.

MOJITO ICE CUBES
I came about these not just tasty but pretty cubes when I was making mojitos. I went overboard squeezing limes and had 1 1/2 cups of juice left over so I tossed in lime and mint and walla! If you skip the sugar it will be very tangy the way I enjoy it. Do use these in lemonade, juice, punch, ice teas, cocktails of choice.........
