EINKORN FLOUR DOG TREATS
I used to make dog treats with whole wheat flour as the main ingredient, but I am trying to avoid wheat products in dog food and store bought treats. So I decided to try this ancient flour since it is supposed to be healthier than modern wheat. Note that Einkorn flour is moister than regular wheat flour. If using regular wheat flour, use 3/4 cup boiling water. This recipe is based largely on zaar recipe number 146993 Milk Bone Dog Biscuits. They are small, so you can use them 1 at a time as a training treat, or a few at a time as "anytime" treats.

- Stir in powdered milk, and egg.
- Add flour, 1 cup at a time.
- Knead on a floured board for a few minutes to form stiff dough.
- Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into small shapes, using a mini cookie cutter that is about 1/2 inch in diameter.

- Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Turn cookie sheet in oven, and bake for another 15 minutes, or until cookies do not have any "give" left when pressed.
