Steps:
- Light the barbecue. Chop the mozzarella and taleggio into small chunks and tip into a bowl with the butter, garlic, herbs and some salt and pepper. If you want, you can mix everything together with a wooden spoon, but I prefer to use my hands.
- Using a bread knife, cut diagonal slices along the loaf about three quarters of the way into the bread - don't cut all the way through. If it looks like the bread won't fit on the barbecue, cut it in half and make two smaller ones.
- Push the garlic butter generously between each cut, allowing some to ooze onto the top - it will caramelise and taste superb. Sprinkle the paprika over. Wrap the bread up like a cracker in a double thickness of foil. You can prepare to this stage up to a day ahead.
- Put the pack straight onto the barbecue. Cook for 2 minutes then roll it over onto its side and cook for 2 minutes more. Roll it onto its other side and cook for a further 2 minutes. Have a peek - if the cheese is melting and the bread is crispy, remove it from the barbie. Pull the slices apart and eat while hot and gooey.

BAGUETTE GARLIC BREAD
I made this up when I needed something to take to my daughter's house for supper one night after watching the Barefoot Contessa make her garlic bread. Very crunchy and garlicy!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Slice baguette's (or French Bread) into 1/2" slices. (Cut on the diagonal).
- Heat olive oil in small skillet or pan. (Don't get smoking hot or it will burn the garlic.).
- Add the finely minced garlic cloves and cook very quickly. Not over 20 or 30 seconds, watching closely so you don't burn. (I strained out the garlic but Ina Garten didn't when she made her garlic bread).
- Brush baguette slices with the olive oil and put on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Bake in oven for 8 - 12 minutes or just until they are lightly browned.
- To freeze: Prepare up to the point of brushing the bread with the garlic oil. Place on a baking sheet, put in freezer and freeze until firm. Remove from freezer, wrap well in plastic wrap and then foil. Label and return to freezer.
- To serve: Unwrap and place on baking sheet. Proceed with directions and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until hot through.
- NOTE: I used the smaller portions given for my baguettes but you may need more if using a loaf of French Bread.

HERB GARLIC BAGUETTES
Another recipe from the Instructions and Recipes booklet which came with my KitchenAid mixer. It's actually very similar to my Herb Batter Bread, but with the addition of the garlic and that the loaves are baguettes. Prep time includes mincing the garlic cloves in a mini-chopper, but does NOT include rising times.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 15x10x1-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Using a serrated knife, cut a wedge into the top of each loaf cutting to about 1 inch from each long side. Use a spoon or your fingers to carefully remove the inside of each loaf, leaving about 3/4-inch shell. Arrange bread shells on the prepared baking pan.
- Remove casings from sausage, if present. In a large skillet crumble and cook sausage with sweet peppers about 8 minutes or until sausage is cooked and peppers are just tender, stirring in the green onions the last minute of cooking. Remove from heat; drain off fat.
- In a large bowl combine eggs, whipping cream, basil, and salt. Stir in sausage mixture and 1 cup of the cheese.
- Carefully pour egg mixture into bread shells. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes or until eggs are set (160°F).

- Melt butter in a pan and add the chopped green garlic and chili peppers. Lightly sauté for 2-3 minutes till the garlic aroma reaches you, making sure the garlic and chili doesn't burn.
- Reduce the flame to low, add the seasoned and well-beaten eggs. Cook the scrambled eggs slowly on a medium-low heat, stirring intermittently, till they reach a soft-scrambled consistency.
- Hollow out some of the soft part of a split baguette or any good crusted bread of choice, and place the two halves crusted side down on a baking sheet. Slather the green garlic and chilies scrambled eggs over the bread and top the eggs with shredded cheese.

- Split the baguette lengthwise, and cut the center out of it and scoop out the bread using your hands, leaving 1 inch on each end and about 0.25 inch on the sides. Be sure to leave enough bread at the bottom to hold the filling. After you're done scooping out the bread, press the center and sides with your fingers to make it more compact - this will allow the filling to fit better. Transfer to a baking sheet and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs along with the half-and-half, salt, and pepper. Then mix in the diced bell pepper, minced shallots, minced garlic, shredded mozzarella, and chopped parsley or basil until evenly combined.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baguette. Some of it may get absorbed into the bread, so pour a little bit more if that happens. Tip: if you don't want the ends of the baguette to get too toasty, wrap the ends with aluminum foil.
