Egg and Cheese Hash Brown Waffles image

With just a few ingredients, these egg and cheese waffles made with hash browns make for an easy and delicious all-in-one breakfast.

3 large eggs, beaten
2 cups hash browns
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl add the eggs and beat until the whites and yolks are blended. Stir in hash browns, cheese, green onions, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Heat waffle maker to medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Add half the mixture to the waffle iron and cook according to package instructions. (Mine is about 5 minutes) Remove and repeat with remaining egg/hash brown mixture. Serve immediately.

20 oz package refrigerator hash brown potatoes
3 large eggs
¼ cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup chives
Salt
Pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat waffle maker to med-high heat. Lightly oil the top and bottom of the waffle maker or coat with non-stick spray.
  • Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl. Stir in potatoes, cheese, chives and ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper.
  • For a round waffle maker, use 1 cup of mixture, spreading to ½ inch from edge of waffle maker.
  • Cook 5 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
  • Keep warm in oven.

Steps:

  • Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions; spray with cooking spray.
  • Mix hash browns, eggs, milk, flour, onion, sriracha sauce, garlic, baking powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl to make batter.
  • Pour 1/4 of the mixture onto the preheated waffle iron; spread to the edges with a spatula. Cook until golden and warmed through, 5 to 7 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

1/4 tsp. black pepper
3-1/2 cups (about 1/3 of 30-oz. pkg.) ORE-IDA Shredded Hash Brown Potatoes, thawed
1-1/4 cups KRAFT Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese, divided
1/4 cup milk
8 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives

Steps:

  • Spray electric waffle iron with cooking spray. Heat iron to medium-high heat.
  • Whisk 1 egg with onion powder and pepper in large bowl until blended. Add potatoes and 1/2 cup cheese; mix well.
  • Spoon about 1 cup potato mixture onto center of each waffle grid section. Close lid quickly. Cook 10 to 12 min. or until waffle is lightly browned. (Do not open until waffle is done.) When done, lift waffle off grid with fork. Repeat with remaining potato mixture if necessary.
  • Meanwhile, whisk milk and remaining eggs until blended. Add to medium skillet sprayed with cooking spray; cook on medium heat 5 to 7 min. or until eggs are set, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve waffles topped with bacon, eggs, remaining cheese and chives.
